I've been going here for two years. Most of the staff acknowledges me by name, address me with nothing but respect and have been nothing but kind and understanding since my first appointment. I Love everyone there. They are lenient knowing my financial situation. I appreciate everything they've done for me.

I would like to add to my review of last year. I don't know about the complaints about the people at the front desk or inside the office.
The clerical staff is usually matching the major population: the Latinos. Usually young women who come from mostly middle classed Hispanic families. The majority of my clientele at the time was Dominican and Colombian. Native born Americans of all ethnic groups worked in this counseling center as therapists. The clerks, however, were mostly in range of their counterpart peers coming for assistance. Although most were of Latin American background and there are a batch of traditions and customs, but their supervision was that of purely doing business with little training for the handling of patients and their families. Nothing is perfect, but this could be an educational piece for newcomers and children in dealing with human environment in their communities. I miss my good works there and I would love to see it to continue throughout the decades.

They never show a smile at less they like you. They seem prejudice between Latinos. They obviously don't make much of an effort to get to know their clients. They still can't even remember my name. . I for sure didn't feel very welcome by the staff. I felt like I was in their way!

I worked for this agency as a social work psychotherapist for nine years before I retired. The agency is very strict about confidentiality and that the client take full responsability for his/her therapy and treatment with a staff psychiatrist. To say that no one cares is unfair and borderline cruel. Each therapist is well trained in three disciplines: social work, psychology and medicine (psychiatrist). From my experience there, it was a hands on agency where the average therapist could make collateral visits to schools, homes, institutions, hospitals, etc., in order to enhance a patient's life and plan for a brighter future through different models of psychotherapy. I watched therapists turn children's lives around as well as preserve in tact and broken families to communicate within the family unit in order to stabilize vulnerable situations and keep family members with a presence of strength withon their communities. Mental health workers of any stripe face many challenges; especially with the legal professions hovering over it like vultures looking for valuable prey.

Absolutely not! I don't think they have one!

Not at all! They were boring and outdated

Yes, there is a definite trend of overbooking here
