I went to Dr. Schmidt for help with low back pain. He decided to do an "adjustment" of my hands. In the process, he tore the TFCC ligament in my right, dominant, hand. A steroid injection by a hand specialist did little to alleviate the excruciating pain that resulted. Physical therapy likewise proved fruitless. An MRI confirmed the TFCC tear and I had to undergo surgery. Though the tear is technically "repaired," I continue to have pain while doing everyday tasks, constant reminders of my poor choice of a practitioner!
