I had 2 significant spinal traumas and, when I read a postcard about Innovative Spine and the decompression machine, I was eager to go and get some relief from the pain that I had been suffering with for more than a year. I called to make an appointment. When I told Erica, the young lady that answered the phone, that I would be self-pay, I was told that someone would have to call me back. I did not receive a call that day or the next. I called again. Whoever I needed to speak with was unavailable. I explained the situation to Erica again and she said that someone would DEFINITELY call me back this time. (I just wanted to make an appointment for a consultation! But they were so concerned with getting paid for future visits that I hadn't even committed to.)
Within a few minutes I got a return call (with apologies for not calling before) and made my appointment for 1:30. I arrived at the office at 1:30 and was given paperwork to fill out. At 2:05 the doctor came through the waiting room and told me that it would be another 20 minutes before I was seen. At about 2:10 I was in such excruciating pain that I told the receptionist that I couldn't wait any longer. She called the doctor away from a patient though I asked her not to. He came out to try to convince me that I was late and he was doing the best that he could to accommodate me. This after checking with his office manager and receptionist for some unknown reason. I suggested that his receptionist may have waited to notify him of my arrival until after I had filled out their forms. He told me that in 10 years a scheduling problem had never occurred and that he was sorry.
***Bottom line: Big waste of my time. This office was unprofessional from the first contact. Every other treatment center that I have been to has seen me within minutes of my arrival because they know that people in pain can’t wait.
