Was told my 90 minute initial appt. would be with an "MD." "Are you sure?" I asked. "Yes, definitely."
Ok - So after my 30 minute drive I was seen by a P.A. She took my blood pressure and weight and then told me I needed to be on a liver cleanse and started telling me the cost.
I said, "Excuse me, but when do I meet with the Dr?"
"Oh, our PA's are qualified to help you"

Yeah, right. Shame on them and shame on me for believing a doctor would accept my insurance and actually see me for 90 minutes.

Stay as far away from this place as you can. It is a scam. Name changes every 6 months.

All of the reviews I read here sound accurate. It's been a few years since I visited them, and I stopped going because I went in for neck pain and they were billing my insurance for shoulder, knee, and everything else they could think of when the amount of visits the insurance company would pay for the actual problem area ended. Heaven forbid I ever have to take out my own insurance policy -- I probably couldn't get one now! And in case you haven't noticed, they keep changing their name (wonder why)... All "Dr. Maz" cares about is making more money. I'd suggest you spend your money and time somewhere else.

Medwell works by having you see numerous different professionals for very brief stints, but then each separate professional can bill your insurance for separate services (three visits added up to over $8000 billed to my insurance). The insurance company does not compute that it is all coming from one practice because they use different practitioners NPI numbers to file through, as insurance would normally dismiss more than 3 services per visit. I wondered how they were able to mail out page size marketing postcards - they have a highly effective billing and collection process.

what a joke. physical therapy factory. put you on as many machines and hands on therapys that they can bill for. started treating me without a diagnosis or permission. never saw a doctor - just a nurse practicioner and a bunch of PTs. couldnt even track the # of times that they had to reset the stim machine.

go to a real doctor for knee pain

. This is a scam. They prey upon people in pain that would do anything, pay any price for relief. You start and have two visits. On the third, you speak to "the doctor", who will explain your treatment plan and HOW MUCH IT'S GOING TO COST. The two treatments they "feature" are not paid for by ANY insurance company. It's around $1500 dollars and, if you pay them up front, they'll take four or five hundred off. If you don''t pay in advance, you need to take out a line of credit to pay the full amount. That way, they get their full amount whether you drop out or not. They took more time explaining the fee than treating me! The big expensive treatment that no insurance company will pay for is "laser light therapy or led (light emitting diode, like you have flashing on your vcr.) No wonder the insurance companies won't pay for it!! It's all very secretive until they sit you down to tell you how much one of their "treatment plans" will cost. They also do decompression therapy--another treatment that NO insurance company will pay for. And you WILL NEED tests, but don't worry, they're done there by their doctors or technicians--your insurance company will pay for it all. I thought doctors had to give you a conflict of interest statement saying that you don't have to have tests done there, you can go somewhere else with a prescription if you choose to. They said they took my insurance, but they really don't. They were billing out of network and charging the insurance company for anything and everything they could bill for. I found out they really didn't take my insurance when they said that "for some reason" the insurance companies mail the patient the check--for some reason? The reason is that you are out of network. If you were in network, I would only be responsible for the copay.
My exam by the medical doctor involved answering a list of questions--the doctor never even looked up and did not do any form of physical evaluation.
