I ended up spending quite a bit for my visit. They were very expensive. I we I WENT IN WITH A DACHSHUND THAT HAD JUMP OFF THE CHAIR AND APPARENTLY EITHER DISLOCATED SHOULDER OR BROKEN ARM,. Nurse was nice. I told them we were on limited budget of $225 max. The Doctor came and and immediately made the comment that people who generally vacinnate their own pets are not willing to pay the price to do what is necessary to properly fix the injury. My dilemma was not that I did not WANT to do what was necessary, it was a matter that we did not have the funds to do what was necessary. I told them up front what we had and when the doctor have the estimate it was $350 which was $125 above what we told him we had available. I asked what if they just did the exrays without the sedation, he said well I can't give you the answers I would Like. (I"M sure the xray could have told if the elbow was broke). Since we could not do the xray that would leave him there for several hours (added money to their pocket, he basically refused to do the lesser xrays). I finally said well, can you give him something for pain and give us a chance to get him to another regular vet for a second opinion, he said yes we could do that so they gave him a buprenex shot (which is morphine) and hopefully I can get him to another vet that can xray in the meantime. Dr. Hart was very condescending and arrogant and felt no compassion for the human owner of the animal. We vaccinated our own dogs because my husband works for a home and Ranch store and we can get all 4 of our dogs vaccinated for the price of one. Our dogs are our children as at our age we can no longer have children. Dauch has been mine since he was 3 weeks 5 days old. He is my BABY. I hate it that he is injured but we live from paycheck to paycheck on $350 per week. There is no money left over to cover a $350 ER vet bill + $1-2000 surgery for something that is not life threatening and no guarantee it will work any better than nature itself. Due to the way I was treated and made to feel during the visit I have nothing good to say about this clinic unless you are wealthy and can afford to spend more on your dog than you would yourself if you were sick. My husband and I are both licensed ministers and we are believing that God will heal this injury through his power. If this had been a life threatening situation I still would take my dog there but for non life threatening situation and if you do not have the funds to pay right then and there, you will only live there feeling that you are the worst pet owners around. At least that's how I felt like, My son even thought maybe we should have him put down. Well I'm not doing that. My dog will be healed BUT IT WILL NOT BE DUE TO ANYTHING THE CLINIC DID. IT WILL BE DUE TO WHAT GOD, AND LOVE OF FAMILY DID. I encourageyou, unless it is LIFE OR DEATH, DO NOT TAKE your beloved pet to this location because the attitude is friendly at first and then condescending when they realize you are not made of money.
