Dr. Wen just retired January 17, 2019 and it brings tears to my eyes to think I will not be making appointments to see him. I have seen Dr. Johnston and Dr. G, but by far the one I have seen the most has been Dr. Wen. I have gone to Dr Wen for well over 10 years, before the office was expanded to its current size. It all started when I had a young cat that really wasn't doing well, I didn't care for a different vet's opinion so I mentioned it to my sister and she said "Take her to Dr. Wen in Speonk", so off I went. Dr Wen put her on IV and she started herbal kidney support meds. She was there 3 days and then had to go back for another day and after that she was at home on the herbals for a couple months. We were able to wean her off the herbals and I had her for years before I lost her to cancer. I truly feel that if I had not gone to Dr. Wen she would have been lucky to live another 24hrs. I have always felt that he truly cared about his patients and their owners and that he would go the extra mile to improve their health.
My Maltese, Sophia had a liver disease. At the age of four her holistic vet said he could not do anymore for her and to put to her sleep. I mourned for days.
I took her to Dr. Wen and, with his herbal medication she became fine and normal. Unfortunately 4 years later she died due to an accident.
I thank Dr. Wen for the extra four years he gave me with Sophia.
Can't say much about his administrative financial staff. He himself is very compassionate. Not staff.
Dr.Wen is a wonderful vet. He has treated our dog Rascal through very difficult health concerns. I wouldn’t trust her health to anyone else again. Compassionate staff, clean facility.
I have been to other vets much closer to my home, but Dr Wen has diagnosed and treated my pets with excellence, care and compassion. He actually cured my chocolate lab herbal meds when other vets wanted to perform $4000 surgery without even trying anything else first. I would NEVER take my pets anywhere else|
My 4 year old Aussie was having problems suddenly with walking, bathroom, normal activity. Dr.Wen examined her and within 5 minutes he diagnosed menningitis. Within a month she was on the road to recovery. Still being treated with chineseherbs a year later but she is 100 percent back to being her normal self. She actually loves going to see Dr. Wen for checkups and staff are awesome!!!
