Dr. Quirk is a very caring and compassionate person, as well as excellent veterinarian.

Three times now we have had to put down our family pets due to old age and health issues. Each was a hard decision, but the right one to make as their quality of life had gone way down. She handled each occurrence with dignity and respect for the pet as well as we the owners.

When we first met Dr. Quirk, it was because Rosie, our 14.5 year old Australian Shepherd could no longer walk due to old age and a previous injury. She allowed us to come to her because the Vet we had been using was out of town. Even though we didn’t have a history, she met us at the truck so we didn’t have to upset Rosie any further than she already was. After quietly checking her, she agreed with our decision and Rosie was put to sleep in the kindest way. Dr. Quirk had our business right there due to her handling of a difficult situation. A few days later, we got a sympathy card in the mail from her and the staff. What a nice thing to do!

Next was old Jax, the counterpart to the set of Aussie’s we’d had for over 15 years. Again, the same kind understanding was shown. Then, when our 19 year old Izzy cat’s time came, she was there for him and us again. Fortunately, that was the last of the old guys who shared our life, unless you count the 20+ year old horse still kicking up her heels.

Dr. Quirk has our respect and deep appreciations for the way she helped us ease our friends out of their pain and into another life.
