They are the best. We had two older cats who have sadly passed on. Were extremely compassionate and offered professional advice. The staff is caring and very understanding and twice in emergencies took our cat on the same day as when I called. Cannot do better than that.

With four dogs I have needed vet care and emergency care often. I have always received excellent care from all the vets at Saugerties Animal Hospital. Dr. Rothstein is my primary vet but, as my pups got older I had more and more emergency visits. Thus I've been seen by all of the vets. I love them all as I love the staff. They deal with me and my companions with knowledge, care and concern.

My animal companions (and my daughters cat) have seen Dr. Rothstein & Dr. Lang over the past few years and they have always been helpful and caring. The staff is friendly and the cost always seems very reasonable.

Saugerties Animal Hospital is 1 of the best veterinary hospitals I have ever taken my beloved dogs to. It is not the fanciest clinic and does not have the latest state-of-the-art equipment, I've been to those clinics in many different regions of NYS, paid the exorbitant fees that they charge and have been treated to indifferent attitudes by egotistical and sloppy vets. The vets at Saugerties are in a class by themselves and are GREAT! Dr. Rothstein is a no-nonsense and brilliant diagnostician, Dr. Jackson is caring and a skilled surgeon, and Dr. Lang is quiet, bright and compassionate. Staff is professional (when treated politely!). The waiting room is basic, usually crowded and busy, but everyone is seen and each patient receives an appropriate amount of time - regardless of how many are waiting to be seen, Emergency needs are a phone call away -- 24/7 - and the fees for services are so reasonable. I LOVE this veterinary practice and the people who work there.

Dr. Rothstein and his incredible staff are the most professional, caring and knowledgeable group!
I have trusted them with the care of my Airedale Terriers for nearly 15 years.
Their keen diagnosis and surgical skills saved the life of one of my dogs.
I've recommended them to all my friends and most drive over an hour just to guarantee their pets receive the best care available.
5 stars is not nearly a high enough rating!

This is the finest animal hospital I have ever visited. I use Dr. Howard Rothstein, who is unbelievable. The practice is efficient, clean and animal friendly from the minute you walk through the doors. I cannot recommend this animal hospital highly enough.
