They have that perfect small town feel. The vet really cares and is extremely knowledgeable, not only in veterinary medicine but also natural remedies. When I didn't want to give my dog drugs for the rest of her life, she had a natural, much cheaper remedy for me. I don't have to argue with her about anything like most vets; she always honors my wishes. She also cares about saving you money. When she recommends a medicine, she then lets you know the cheapest way to get it. When a procedure may be needed, she discusses all the pros and cons to include price and doesn't hold anything back. She's the most honest vet I've ever seen. I have annoyed many people because I always have tons of questions and what ifs. She patiently and politely answers every single one of them. When my dog had labs done, she actually took the time to bring me back into the lab to let me look through the microscope and explain everything to me. The care is very personal.

I will have to move in a few months and I wish I could take her with me. I have a service dog who is my lifeline and I can't imagine having to trust any other vet with her care.

ONLY downside is - because they are small - they don't have an on-call vet and can't always get quick appointments. But honestly, I'm so impressed with them I don't even care. I have the emergency vet number in Jacksonville (910-455-3838), so my plan B is covered.

I am a mommy to a 4 month old black lab named Buddy. I was so impressed with the kidness of everyone at Swansboro Pet Care from the receptionist to the tech and the vet. All of my questions were answered thouroughly and with patience and they were also wonderful about answering the questions that my nine year old had, as well as with my highly energized puppy. I definately recommend this office for anyone looking for a wonderful place to take their animals. I will continue to take Buddy to them and if we end up with any more pets this is where they will go as well!
