I am not typically a person who writes negative reviews because I know how damaging they can be to a business, but I have been treated so poorly by this practice that feel obligated to warn others before they fall into the same trap.

Approximately one year ago I was struck by a drunk driver. Although I was fortunate to walk away with only minor injuries, I had a very sore lower back. I had been a patient of Dr. Millison’s in the past so I scheduled a consultation to see if he could help.

Before my first appointment I spoke with Debbie Clark (Dr. Millison’s billing specialist and office manager) in detail about my accident and my concerns regarding a claim. I was driving my girlfriend’s car so I was worried that with three insurance companies involved, there might be an issue.

Debbie insisted that they deal with this type of thing all of the time and she assured me that it would not be a problem. I asked her to please let me know if there were issues before I incurred any significant cost. She was so empathetic when she told me that I had nothing to worry about that I felt completely comfortable as she scheduled 4 or 5 appointments for me over two weeks.

After my initial block of appointments were complete she informed me that there was indeed an issue, I would need to pay her directly and then work with the insurance companies myself. I was in shock; I felt I couldn’t have been clearer that this was the exact situation that I wanted to avoid. I couldn’t believe it when she handed me an invoice for over 1,200 DOLLARS! To make matter worse, invoice included a 250 dollar back brace that I could have bought at Dicks Sporting Goods for 30 dollars. Although I felt deceived I worked with my insurance company and they were paid for over half of the invoiced amount.

Was this good enough considering the situation? No way! They have sent me letter after letter. They have threatened my credit and they have tacked on interest payments like I borrowed money from them and have treated me like I just walked in off the street and never expressed any concerns about the circumstances that transpired.

I can’t respect people who act dishonestly and my experience with this practice has been awful. I was in a bad circumstance and I try to express my concerns in a very sincere and fiscally responsible manner. In my opinion they should all be ashamed of how they handled this situation. There are numerous chiropractors in the Cockeysville/Hunt Valley area. I strongly suggest choosing someone other than Dr. Scott Millison. I truly hope that his practice will never have the chance to treat another patient like they have treated me.

Dr. Millison is one of the elite Chiropractors in Maryland. I would never to anywhere else. His diagnosis skills are the best I've seen, his skill at working out the problem are rare and his advice on how to reduce the problem through specific stretching techniques was right on.

They put in the extra effort to make me feel valued and important. I will absolutely return to Scott Millison, D.C.. I had an amazing experience. They would never leave me unattended and they always go the extra mile to make me feel cared for. They always make an extra effort to make me feel respected and attended to. They always listen to every question or concern I may have. They have some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Putting their customers first is definitely a priority here and it shows.
