I met her at the Healthy Life expo and was looking forward to the $150 I had won. I made an appt the following day. She explains everything in rather copious amount of details, the appt took 1.5 hours, and she was ten minutes late. She promised to look at my insurance and let me know about my qualifications by the next visit. I went to the next appt two days later for the same exact examination as before. When I asked about my insurance, she said we would talk about it. She went into her speech about the "stupid healthcare system" and how her office doesn't accept my insurance (i have a very good plan). She did not adjust me on this visit because "she needs an hour", she was ten minutes late for the appt. I did not want to stay 1.5 hours like before. She wanted $91 per appt, and wanted the payment all upfront. I did not feel comfortable due to all of the run around, not sure if she would even do what she promised, since she did not the first two visits. She claims how good she is and how long she's been doing it (36 years many times) but I saw no proof. We shook hands and I left.
If you have all the time in the world to go to mulptiple appts without any adjustments/results, she is perfect for you.

I met Dr. Otter at the Edina fall art fair at Centenial lakes.I came to her office for a free offer. I was pleased with the free offer and the experience at her office. Upon meeting her I really liked her demeanor and that her chiropractic office focused on nutrition as well as chiropractic care. I also liked the manner in which she presented herself and that she really was knowledgeable about what she was doing. After my first treatment for my neck, I got into my car with no knee pain for the first time in more than four years and I could hardly believe it because knee surgery have been recommended two years prior to this visit. I got out of my car and got back in… My knees still did not hurt. i'm so glad Dr.Otters practice of treating the whole body has helped my knees so much. They did not hurt for a week until I bowled and although some pain has returned they remain better than they were prior to treatment.

I first saw Dr. Otter for help with knee pain that occurred when I would run or golf. I came in for a free visit and she exceeded my expectations. I could see she knew what she was doing when she told me what was wrong and why treatment was needed. At the time I was seeing another chiropractor that would help temporarily but not cure my pain. Dr. Otter gave me reasons why I was having knee problems and why I hadn't really gotten any better. In my care with her she proactively treated my problems and am now running and golfing pain free! I highly recommend her!

I met Dr. Otter at a health expo and came to her clinic on a free offer. My experience in the clinic exceeded my expectations. We talked about the low back pain I had almost every day sitting for long hours at my computer job. What impressed me was that her recommendations were not a hard sell. It was up to me to accept the treatment she proposed to help me with my low back pain. It was very clear to me that Dr. Otter really wants to help people; she makes recommendations only if needed with lots of information and no pressure. She is quite comfortable with a person's decision to not follow her recommendations.

I did decide to have Dr. treat me based on her perspective of creating and maintaining long term health. I have had several car accidents and I run 5 to 7 marathons a year, so I appreciate the results. My low back ache is gone! The automobile accidents I had after starting care were handled well with acute and rehabilitative care. It is amazing how I am almost never injured despite the miles I run. I am the least injured of my fellow marathon runners including several 20 year olds. I credit my care from Dr. Otter with having a lot to do with that.

I appreciate the flexible financial plans available that include bonus services and savings on the cost of treatment. If my schedule of running, teaching and performing is tight, they get me out on time having received a great treatment. Overall, I feel fabulous and I hate missing a treatment on my wellness plan because that is what keeps me running!

When I met Dr. Otter I was already looking for help with my right.shoulder that had been painful for over 15 years due to several past accidents. I had pain for so long that I had become accustomed to it and thought it was just a normal part of being active and aging.

I received an initial free visit that went well..I was pleased with the information I received about my shoulder problem and the massage therapy gave me relief. I decided to start treatment. While services here are a bit higher than other chiropractors I have seen, financial arrangements were handled very clearly and easily.

After my shoulder began to improve with her treatment, she then began treating my buttock and hamstring pain that was extreme, constant and limiting my activity. I learned that all of these symptoms were surprisingly related.

As a result of Dr. Otter's treatment I can run consistently. The pain is gone. I can sprint faster than I have been able to in years. In addition, I can perform yoga postures, in which prior to treatment, I would lose my balance.

My posture is visibly improved and feels better than I can remember. Prior to treatment, my shoulders (and hips) were not level no matter what I tried - yoga, exercise, and chiropractic care. Now they are level and I can feel the change and improvement in balance.

I had seen chiropractors in the past and gotten reasonable results, but nothing as comprehensive and lasting as the outcome of Dr. Otter’s unique, advanced treatment approach of combining adjustments, muscle/tendon/soft-tissue massage with percussive therapy.

What a joke! I won $150.00 of services at the Healthy Life Expo and this was my 3rd visit AND nothing has been treated or adjusted. Ok to top it off, when I was told I would be treated today (mind you she said free of charge for today) she brought up future prices of over $90.00 a visit 3X per week, and when I said there is no way I can afford that she said she wouldn't be able to adjust or do treatment on me today. WOW! I pay almost $300.00 per month for insurance, I am not going to pay another $300.00 a month to "hopefully" be adjusted or treated. I had 3 visits and nothing was done outside of pressure work and A LOT of her talking herself up about what she can do.

Then do it! Show me...THAT is what will get me to stick around not talking about it. If you are going to offer $150.00 worth of services then you need to show me what you can do. I have read 27 reviews and there is a trend in common, Doctor. Don't be rude because I said I don't know if I can afford your services. Please! Oh I am fired up!

Also I feel bad for her receptionist, Sarah. Anytime I ask her a question or if she is telling me something or another patient, Doctor Otter steps in and speaks for her OR corrects her. Even from another room! It's like she is making Sarah feel bad or crappy about herself.

Plus watch out for the amount of paperwork. More talk less work.

I won $150 of "free" services from Dr. Otter at a local festival as well. They were very nice at the festival. The first visit consisted of a lot of paper work to gather history and medical insurance information and a little pit of trigger point work (very minimal with no relief from pain). The second visit was the actual assessment that I had won, which consisted of more paperwork, no talk of insurance and still no pain relief (or adjustment). Dr. Otter said that she does not do adjustments on new patients right away before completely assessing their history and issues. I made an appointment for the following day as I was in a lot of pain. I went in a third time, indicated Dr. Otter that I did not feel well and just wanted an adjustment. The conversation that followed was rather confusing and then I asked if they even take my insurance and she said no. She asked if I wanted a referral and I said no to that and promptly left. There was no need for THREE visits to her rather remote office location (8100 Penn Ave) and when they figured out that they didn't take my insurance I would have appreciated a phone call. I indicated when first going there that I would not get service from them if my insurance did not work there. I've learned my lesson on a few things: 1. I should just call my insurance company to find out if a doctor is covered and 2. Free stuff is never really free. I would not recommend Dr. Otter to anyone as I felt duped and taken advantage of by her.
