Was almost impossible to get my records. At first, the therapist told me he had to send them to my primary because that’s who referred me. Then, he told me to speak with the receptionist, which I did. However, she told me they would charge me $1.00 a page. I asked her how much that would be, she told me that she didn’t know, that that would depend on how many visits I had had. I asked if they could send them to my primary, she said that that wouldn’t cost anything. So, I asked her to do that. So, I went to my primary doctor’s office, I signed a release, so they could send the records to my physical medicine doctor. I needed to do this because I had an appointment with that doctor the following Monday Morning. On Monday, I spoke with the physical therapist who told me that he could send my records to the physical medicine’s office, but I would have to sign a release. I went back and forth between the PCP’s office, to no avail. The Medical Rehabilitation office insisted they had sent the file on Friday, even though the PCP’s office never got them. I finally asked the PCP’s office to call the physical therapist . Low and behold, the primary doctors office finally received them and were able to send them to the other doctor for further evaluation of my injury. However, as a result, I had to reschedule my appointment at the physical Medicine doctor. This leaves me without treatment do my whiplash. The treatment that will possibly recommended will have to wait for a longer time with the required prior authorization. In addition, This ordeal was very exhausting for me, since one of the symptoms of whiplash is fatigue.
