The staff here took down my insurance information incorrectly. I was a patient for several months without improvement. Near the end of the treatment, the staff informed me that a procedure (ultrasound therapy) that they had recommended to me, and assured me was covered by insurance, was in fact not. This was because they had recorded my insurance information wrong.

After seeing them multiple times a week for months, and paying the full copay at every visit, I was told I would have to pay them for the uncovered ultrasound therapy, and they handed me a bill for nearly $400. My insurance company has since told me that this is an illegal way of conducting business and that I am not responsible for the charge.

I am still getting calls from Gold Star about this outstanding bill, and threats that they are now charging me interest on the bill, even though it has been 5 months since I stopped being a patient here. Both I, and my insurance company have told them that it is not my responsibility to pay these tacked on charges, and that they will have to sort out any disagreements with the insurance's provider services, yet they continue to harass me.
