Full disclosure I dread going to the dentist. Dr o'shaughnassey turned that all around. She takes the time to explain everything she does. Her bedside manner is awesome and everytime I've gone it's been as painless as possible. She also gives great advice on preventative care. Her office is always on time and her hygienists are equally as kind and experienced. I would totally recommend her.

Having recently moved out of NYC, I was searching for a local family dentist. A close friend recommended Dr. O'Shaughnessy at Mclean Smiles. She recently treated me for a cavity (my first) below the gum line and the experience was amazing. She was patient, gentle and most importantly to me, she communicated exactly what she was doing. I felt no pain at any point during or after, which I have since learned is extraordinary considering the procedure performed. I next brought my not quite three year old daughter in for her first cleaning and Dr. O's "chair side manner" was again incredible, you would have thought my daughter was velcroed to the seat during the entire 30 minute exam. Upon completion, she ecstatically asked "When can we come back?" Definitely says it all. You won't be disappointed with Dr. O'Shaughnessy.

We recently moved to CT and were lucky enough to find Dr. O. Having a friendly, knowledgeable dentist that services my entire family makes dentist appointments much more manageable. Both my 2 yr old and 4 yr old had a positive experience and are actually excited for their next cleanings. Dr.O's ability to make small children feel comfortable is extraordinary. In addition, the office hours are great for working moms!
