Dr. Carli, his team and HSS are the best.
In December of 2000 I had a knee replacement at a different Hospital. It got infected and required an additional surgery in January of 2001. I was placed on lifetime antibiotics. April of 2022, I started developing sores on the knee. They switch Antibiotic, which did not help. I went to see another Dr at HSS who referred me to Dr Carli. When I first met him, he was very easy to talk to and took the time to explain what he felt I needed and explained, they would need to run test and wanted to discuss the results with his team and other Dr’s before a final decision was made. This made me very comfortable as he was not just rushing in. They removed the old knee and placed an antibiotic spacer in for a three-month period. Ran test to be sure that the infection was gone and in December of 2022, removed the spacer and replaced the knee. I am now on the road to recovery and have less pain and more movement than before, His entire team have always been helpful and took the time to explain any questions I had. They have followed up after visits to see if I had any questions If I could give them a higher rating I would. The entire Staff at HSS are top notch.
I would recommend them to anyone considering any orthopedic surgery
