I have been seeing Dr. Sternberg for more than six years for depression and anxiety. He provides impeccable, effective care, and I recommend him highly. He’s given me my life back. Upon beginning treatment with him, he immediately adjusted my medications, which made a huge difference. He’s always helped me cope with the way my conditions affect my daily life, responding right away when I need help between appointments. I also have chronic pain and fatigue, and his treatment has improved both.

Dr. Sternberg has been our psychiatrist for many years. He manages both my wife's and my medication. He is always positive and knowledgeable of current medications with their many side effects. He balances his prescriptions with other medications we may be taking. If our current meds aren't achieving their desired results, he is quick to move on to other choices to help us. His compassion for our well-being is valued so highly that we are willing to travel across the metro-DC area for his expertise. Dr. Sternberg is extremely flexible with his office hours that includes weekends. He offers comfortable waiting room and office surroundings. We couldn't ask for a better specialist in the northern Virginia area!

First of all let me begin by saying that I have been a patient of Dr. Sternberg's for almost 21 years.
His knowledge, compassion, and support, along with my medication management with therapy, have been a blessing to me, my health and well being.
During this time, I have been fortunate to have been placed on the proper medications that have helped me get through my life's difficulties and because Dr. Sternberg has well recognized this, he has never tried to influence me to try new medications just for the sake of "promoting" a drug just because it's "new" like some doctors do.
That's important to me, as it should be with all patient/doctor relationships.
With each visit, he actually listens and is truly concerned about my well being.
In my opinion, he is an exceptional doctor who has gone beyond his professional job to help me get through my life..
I feel that with each visit, no matter what difficulties I come up against, I can leave his office knowing that he will always provide me with care and concern, as he has done for 21 years.
It has been a sheer blessing and pleasure of knowing this man for this period of time and if you or anyone else is struggling with life's issues and need help, please take the time to visit Dr. Sternberg, as you will not be disappointed.

Dr. Sternberg is my daughter’s Psychiatrist, and has been for a few years now.
He is an excellent doctor, always up to date on the latest research and medications.
Dr. Sternberg shows care, compassion and prompt response to any questions or concerns a patient might have. Competence, combined with compassion are in my opinion what a good doctor is all about.
