He was not helpful and not proactive. I had severe SI pain when I went to him, as well as other symptoms of AS (axial spondylitis.) I had seen my orthopedic doctor about a month earlier who had told me my problem was inflammatory and rheumatologic. The orthopedic doc told me to go to my rheumatologist. But Dr O immediately blew me off when I told him about the pain and what the orthopedic doctor said. He is a nice guy but he wanted to visit about where he used to live instead of examining or listening to my concerns. I need a proactive, serious doctor, not a buddy. He ordered a SED rate test and the results came back 10x higher than my normal, but he said it was normal. It should have been a huge red flag to him. I have since moved on to a new rheumatologist who is more knowledgeable about axial spondylitis than Dr O was.
