Dr. Villena is EXCELLENT! I saw her in 2021 for Bacterial Pneumonia treatment and later in 2021 for the treatment of Covid. She is very knowledgeable, thoughtful, caring, she listens, she makes time, and knows her medical care! EXCELLENT! Her nurses and staff are courteous and professional! I have in the past many years been going to the Internal Medicine Department at Northwestern Medicine. There is no comparison! The time and interest given a patient, is the way medicine should be practiced, and is rarely found now. AMITA HEALTH and Dr. Villena are far Superior! Especially these days when the medical personnel are all so busy with Covid illnesses.

Saw this physician for an exacerbation of COPD. When I described my symptoms, she immediately dismissed my concerns.
She made her assessment without examining me and before even listening to my lungs. She was condescending in her responses and showed no compassion.

If you want to be listened to and taken seriously, avoid.
I sincerely hope Sheyla Villena is counseled on her bedside manner and communication with patients, so others aren’t treated the way I was.
