This urologist failed to follow up on a negative TRUS prostate biopsy, causing a delay in diagnosis in what turned out to be an aggressive metastatic prostate cancer that may have been treatable if it had been diagnosed sooner. My advice would be to do EXTENSIVE HOMEWORK on the currently used TRUS prostate biopsy, the PSA blood test, and the newer 21st century prostate cancer diagnosis options. Then get yourself to a large teaching hospital to a well trained urologist. It is only your life--------and it depends on finding the right urologist!

I was very impressed with how up to date they were about all the latest medical advancements. They were very knowledgeable. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was in awe at the level of service I received. They completely surpassed all my expectations and I will absolutely be going back. I really admire them for being more than willing to ask for help from other professionals in the field when they don't have an answer to my question. They aren't even slightly arrogant, and I'm confident they always have my best interest at heart. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places.

The doctor was cordial and answered my question. One nurse in particular was very difficult to deal with, and for that reason I will never go back.
