This is the most defensive and argumentative doctor we've ever seen. He is ready to jump onto a question or comment with negative gusto the moment it leaves our mouth. Don't like this man, at all. He should have gone into a completely different field of work.

Having been a patient of Dr.Chalkos' for a number of years I wanted to share what a terrific, professional doctor he is. Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable-everything you want in a doctor. I must take exception to the negative review posted. Dr. Chalko is not a pill pusher. He deeply cares about his patients and their welfare. You will not find a better doctor anywhere. If you are new to town you will be highly pleased. If you are looking for the best doctor look no further.

Perhaps the worst physician I've ever encountered. This man wasn't interested in me as a patient much less as a human being. He was interested in prescribing meds. He runs a pill factory. Four patients every hour x eight hours in a work day x whatever he charges and you have the picture. He over-prescribed. After a month on his regimen I was so blurry I couldn't work. Literally. Also, and I don't know if she's still working for him, but his admin person at checkout was very impolite. She was all about control and power. When I'd had enough and left, Chalko called me at home and actually told me to shut up in the midst of our "conversation." I've waited a long time to write this review. My only regret is I didn't write it sooner.

Great doc...not a long wait time in office. He listens to you and asks questions that are based on side effects.

Not at all! They were boring and outdated

Dr. Chalko is an excellent psychiatrist. He is very available to his patients, and he truly does listen and asks helpful questions that allow the patients to figure things out for themselves. It has been awhile since I have seen him, as I have moved away, but I often recal the valuable techniques he subtly imparted to me to think on a higher level. When we think on a higher level, it we are less likely to give in to the baser thoughts that plague us.
Dr Chalko is also firm and is in control of the sessions. He is not rude, nor disrespectful to his patients, but he maintains control, and if a patient shows signs of instability, he quickly regroups and manages the situation effectively.
I highly recommend Dr Chalko as a psychiatrist. He is a man of compassion who truly wishes to help those with mental/behavioral disorders.

I appreciated that they took the time to really listen to my input and concerns. It made me feel respected and important. I really liked they took the time to explain my treatment's risks and benefits clearly. They made sure that I understood everything before I started treatment. Everything they told me in the beginning ended up turning out exactly the way they said it would. They were able to provide me everything they promised me. I've never doubted their abilities.
