Dr. Dayem is dismissive of his patient's concerns and displays an arrogance that does not serve him well. Both my mother and I terminated care with him at different points in the treatment (in my case after one visit) due to his insensitivity to the human being in front of him. The same is true for another friend, who was referred to him by a reputable primary physician; she also was shocked by his lightning-fast diagnosis and virtual refusal to listen to concerns or thoughts that did not fit into his own diagnosis.

Psychiatrists may not be therapists, but any good MD must see that the patient is more than a disease or set of symptoms. He does not have this insight.
