I heard today that Dr Sands definitely had a stroke. However, Mike should be making medical records available. Does anyone know how to reach him?

I really liked Dr Sands. I hope he is getting better.

I, too, am looking for Dr. Sands along with my medical records. I'm not sure how or where to retrieve those. I feel badly if something has happened to him, but on the other hand, his office assistant could've let us know. I liked Dr. Sands very much and his "no nonsense" approach to solving problems. I will miss seeing him.

I read on another site someone had heard that Dr Sands had a stroke. I received good care from him so was surprised to just have him disappear. Does anyone know how to get our medical records? I can get my prescription history from the pharmacist, but guess I will just have to start over again with someone else.

My daughter (in her 20's) and I have gone to Dr Sands for almost 6 years now and nothing could have prepared me/us for last week. When I called him to refill a prescription and make an appointment, the phone had been DISCONNECTED! I then drove down to his office (it was closed and dark). His window had many taped pieces of paper on it, stating "I am quitting my practice effective today." One of the papers on the window was a printout; Dr Names w-their phone numbers (to find another Dr.!) In addition, another paper gave a name & phone number of a contact person for 'us' to retrieve our medical records. Unfortunately for me, I didn't have a pen that day but returned a few days to gather information, only to find that the any and all contact information (for the medical records) had been taken down! Who does that?? Thank God my daughter is no longer taking xanax; I would have had totake her to the ER! (There was no forewarning... DR SANDS....WHERE ARE YOU? I know your son-in-law worked at the scheduling desk so if you're ill, he could have relayed that to the many patients who've trusted and grown close to you over the years, not to mention helping us get our medical records. We cared about you; this is purely unethical and extremely upsetting and I'm not alone as I know there are many fellow patients of his feeling as though we're left to tread water in the middle of the ocean. Please help us help ourselves. I pray that you are alright; we've grown very fond of you over the years and mistakenly perhaps, we thought you cared.
