How Moderation Sets Us Up for Failure Comments

I can't believe you would even publish something like this. You might as well have titled it "let's all be or the Wrecsics". This is the kind of thinking that gets my clients into eating disorder trouble. Too extreme. I will not no longer recommend this site to my clients.

Zero gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, corn, peanuts, sugar. Sorry, but that's fad diet Jumble. Gluten is the fad 'o the day and only those with Celiac or, rarely, gluten sensitivity, need worry. I use high gluten flour or even ADD gluten to bread dough just as many Mediterranean people do to improve the texture and flavor. It's a natural part of wheat. Corn? the staple of many early Native Americans? What is unhealthy about corn? Peanuts? A high quality source of protein and healthy fats? Again, unless one has an allergy to peanuts (and 80% of those who think or like to think they have one really don't), where''s the problem? Eggs? Perhaps the highest quality most natural animal protein source available. Soy? there goes tofu and the foundation of many an Asian and vegan diet. Dairy? There go yogurt and cheeses -again, high quality protein and probiotics. Sugar? No bakery products at all, no preserves of any kind. What's left to eat?

If you have a healthy relationship with food then moderation is fine. If you have a healthy relationship with food, there is no reason to eat 1/2 a box of cookies (AGAIN WHO DOES THIS?!?!). This article is wrought with issues.
