I have no excuse!

I can't believe what I see in the mirror. It is discusting. I do all I can not to be seen naked by my husband. Poor guy. He works on a boat, gone 28 days, home 28 days. Does't see me for a month and has to sneak peaks. It's ashame but true. I'm not showing this to anybody (sorry honey). I am so embarrassed.
I have totally changed my eating habits which, in itself, is very hard to do. Veggies with every meal, sometimes they are the meal! Fruits for snack. This is something totally new to me but I like it. It is a constant struggle not to snack. A bite here, A taste there. I didn't realize how much I mindlessly eat or just satisfy cravings, every time I have one.
Exercise is also a struggle. It is hard to move such a heavy body. I try to jog on the treadmill and I can feel every pound coming down when I land. I have gone from walking a 20 min. mile to a 15 min mile. but it's exausting.
My husband leaves 2mro to go out for another 28 days. I'm going to try really hard while he's gone!

Don't starve yourself.. it will backfire. Eat 5 times a day and make sure you're getting enough protein in every meal. Protein causes the body to become thermogenic. It helps to burn fat. Stay with the veggies as your carbs, but oatmeal is OK in the morning too. Also Dr. Cassandra Foresythe did my show recently about her new book - The Perfect Body Diet. By adding around 3 - 6 grams of powdered fiber before each of the 5 meals her group lost weight and were not hungry. Fiber slows gastric emptying and the feeling of fullness last longer. It also helps to shuttle more fat out of the body while blunting a rapid rise in blood glucose which stops insulin spikes. As for exercise, you need only walk for now and you can lose weight. Don't jog if you're out of shape and overweight as it can cause more joint damage than its worth. Walk in the early morning after waking up but BEFORE eating your first meal and your cardio is 300% more effective at burning fat as energy. It doesn't have to be anything heroic either. Just 20 - 30 minutes at a moderate pace. 7 - 8 hours of sleep every night! Poor sleep will impair your goals and try to be in bed by 10 PM. Lots of studies support this as it relates to weight loss. Also don't be unrealistic about how much weight you can lose in 28 days. Healthy body fat loss (not water weight) is slower. Shoot for a realistic target of a couple pounds per week at the most and be happy if its only 3 pounds a month. This is a journey, not a weekend trip. One last thing.. to all of the women struggling with weight and body image. Most of us men (especially husbands) don't see you the way YOU see you. My wife was overweight for a period of time and I was still as attracted to her. Love.. real love, a history, the journey, all of these things make us men more attracted to you then the body YOU think we are looking at. Just my humble opinion. Carl
