Yoga dance was born from Kripalu Yoga and Kripalu Danskinetics and is sometimes filled with high energy and sometimes quiet and still. This is a healing practice that anyone can do and many variations abound in this compassionate practice.
The class begins with a warm-up focusing on classic yoga postures which are then choreographed into a yoga dance routine. Free-form dancing is encouraged as well so that each person can experience freedom to move into their own dance. There is a bonding that takes place during yoga dance classes, as well as laughter and lightheartedness. So come on out and be prepared to sweat and burn those calories! No experience in dance or yoga necessary.
