Dr. Vish Talwalkar is Associate Professor of Orthopaedics and Pediatrics at the University of Kentucky and Shriners Hospital for Children in Lexington, Kentucky. He is a graduate of Murray State University and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University and a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics and scoliosis at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. He also completed the POSNA/SLAOTI traveling fellowship in South America. He has published in the areas of clubfoot, spinal deformity, limb deficiency, Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease and authored multiple textbook chapters. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, and Scoliosis Research Society among other societies. He is a consulting editor for the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has been involved in multiple pediatric orthopaedic missions in South America. He has been named one of the Best Doctors in America by his peers.
