Dr. Macri is a man of integrity, quality and skill. My daughter had impacted upper canines and congenitally missing upper laterals so she was not just a simple case. I wanted to make sure she received the best care I could find. I was a practicing dental hygienist before moving to Indiana. If I needed information or advice regarding an orthodontist, I simply needed to ask one of the dentists I worked for, or I could see the quality of work of some of the orthodontists when seeing their patients. Once I moved, that was no longer the case.

When my daughter was advised to have braces, we went to the orthodontist that her dentist referred her to. After the consult, I felt I needed to have another opinion. Let me tell you, they were all different! Dr. Macri was our third. The first Orthodontist seemed too excessive--he wanted to pull the rest of her baby teeth right away (she had eleven left and wouldn't have had much to chew with). The second Dr. was super conservative, which left me doubting his abilities, and then we went to Dr. Macri. Dr. Macri's treatment plan made the most sense. On these initial exams, I had decided not to reveal that I had prior dental office experience at any of the offices, just so I could get a good unbiased opinion.

At the initial exam, I was immediately impressed. What I noticed first was that many of his staff have been working for him for many years. That says a lot! They were all courteous and professional. Next, during the exam, Dr. Macri would recite information about my daughter's mouth to his assistant who would write it down. He was very thorough and much more detailed than any of the others. Immediately I could tell by his thoroughness and professionalism that he knew what he was doing and had confidence he would do an outstanding job. He then went on to explain his recommended treatment plan and made sure to answer any questions I had.

His staff is also very courteous and professional. One time one of his front desk personnel called to apologize because she felt she had been rude to me. Honestly, I never felt she had been, but the fact that she called and apologized, says a lot about her integrity. Brenda, who debanded my daughter, has been with Dr. Macri 19 years. Her enthusiasm and warmth shine in all she does. She is funny, courteous and caring. She does an outstanding job as do the rest of his staff.

I have immense respect for Dr. Macri. He listens to your concerns and makes sure you are happy with your results. He explains what needs to be done and why. One time my daughter was concerned because Dr. Macri said he could shape her canines to appear more like laterals, however, she wanted to leave them as they were. Since it was cosmetic it wasn't an issue. However, another time he recommended smoothing of a different tooth which wouldn't be visible but would allow him to align the teeth better. My daughter misunderstood and didn't want it done. Dr. Macri and his staff explained to her what they wanted to do, however, she still didn't quite understand. Dr. Macri explained it to me so I was able to help her understand. She had them smoothed so we could get the best fit for her. Another time near the end, my daughter and I had some questions and Dr. Macri made sure all our questions were answered and we were pleased.

I just want to thank Dr. Macri and his staff for the outstanding job they did in giving my daughter a beautiful smile. Now she has a great smile to go with her great laugh!

The staff here is wonderful and Dr. Macri has years of knowledgeable experience. I am so happy with my results, and my experience there!
