Dr. Mehring received her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed a residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Her fellowship in cardiovascular medicine was at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. She is also certified by the National Board of Echocardiography for echocardiography. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
