Vallis Mental Health was founded in 2019 by Brooke Murphy. She started with a one-room office space in Huntsville and quickly expanded to our current location on Palmer Road in Madison. Our practice prides itself on being an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and opening our doors to all people in Madison, Huntsville, Decatur, Athens, and the surrounding Tennesse Valley area. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for people of all backgrounds seeking help. All three of our clinicians strive to give their patients all the support and guidance they need to grow and heal. Each of our clinicians has a slightly different background. However, we regularly see patients dealing with trauma, PTSD, substance abuse issues, personality disorders, anxiety, relationship issues, and anger management.
Privacy is of the utmost importance to our office, and we strive to conduct all patient interactions within our treatment rooms rather than the waiting area. We feel this helps reduce the judgment a patient may feel coming to therapy because they rarely encounter another person or patient. Our office is uniquely decorated to be inviting and, yet, neutral. We want your time in our office to be about you and not our clinicians or our staff.
Our practice currently has three clinicians, Brooke Murphy, April Taylor, and Chloe Hammick. April Taylor is an LPC or licensed professional counselor who joined our practice in July of 2021. April Taylor is accepting new patients with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Chloe Hammick is an ALC or an associated licensed counselor and only sees cash patients. For more information on our practice or counselors, please visit our website at VallisLLC.org or look for them on Psychology Today.
