TL/DR: Mr. Jason Green is incompetent doctor, with lack of basic knowledge and accepts "General Payments" from pharmaceutical dealers. Do not recommend.

I recently moved to south Florida from Europe and wanted to continue my medication, so visited a doctor that was recommended by PCP. I have very severe Atopic Eczema on whole body.
I wanted to prescribe some antivirals (acyclovir) since I sometimes got Shingles (varicella zoster virus). I already ended up twice in ER with shingles, since in eczema skin it has best conditions to spread. I was given intravenous acyclovir and was recommended to always have antivirals at home.

So I told Mr. Green to give me acyclovir since I had varicella zoster four times and he told me it was not possible, that one can have Shingles only once in lifetime. I told him I got lab tests and hospital records to prove that I got shingles more than once. He started to be arrogant, told me he is a doctor, not me and left with a reason he has many patients. So I have spent 3 minutes with doctor and most of my questions unanswered. This was a first massive red flag. I contacted my old doctor and told him that Mr. Green just said that he cannot give antivirals since its not possible to have shingles second time. My old doctor said: If it was not a misunderstanding then your doctor is lacking the basic knowledge about viruses.

The second red flag was how arrogant Mr. Green is when you try to correct him. He just left...

On a first visit he also took a biopsy of my skin and told me that my insurance(gold plan) does not cover the lab he like. He said that he would definitely pay for a better lab in my situation. I am a SW engineer and have no problem to pay for the premium lab, so I said yes.

The "better lab" looked like hard-sell to me, so I check who buys dinner to Mr. Green and you can see it yourself online: https://openpaymentsdata.cms.gov/physician/246937

Doctors earn a good money, why do they accept gifts from labs and pharma companies? If I would be a doctor I would honor my integrity and would never accept anything from them.

On my second visit Mr. Green told me I got atopic eczema. I know that for more than 15 years... He wanted to prescribe me oral Prednisolone (steroids) and antibiotics. I said this is not going to work in long term. This is good when you want to do a follow up with the patient in two weeks and write insurance a check that it worked and eczema is healing. But what's next? If I would do what he recommended I would end up with kidney/liver problems and skin thin as paper. I know from my own experience. Before I first started hormones I had eczema only in some spots and thanks to some incompetent doctor like Mr. Green I have it know over my whole body.

I was on steroids for a long time and many times after that. It only works while you take them and once you stop it will get much worse than before.

On my second visit I told him I would like to continue on my old medication that was helping me for my skin staph infection. He first told me staphylocous it has nothing to do with eczema. I explained to him, that while it does not cause eczema it worsens it a lot. This is well documented in studies. After that he quickly wrote me a prescription for antibiotics. I told him that antibiotics are poor choice for treatment of chronic infection. Its the same as with hormones, as soon as you stop taking antibiotics your staph infection will get worse, since you destroyed your whole skin/gut flora.

I told him that the drug of choice in chronic staph infections are bacteriophages and Microbial autogenous complex (MAK) or also known as autovaccine. For my big surprise Mr. Green didn't KNOW WHAT IT IS. I mean the doctor should know these basic treatment options. I started to explain him that bacteriophage is a virus that only attack some specific bacteria, like staph. But Mr. Green didn't have time for me again and left. I would understand if was not using these treatments because of his professional opinion, but now KNOWING about it makes me wonder what was he doing in university.

I confronted him that I want all my money back, because as a doctor, Mr. Green is incompetent, but I was refused. I left without a word and told myself its my obligation to write this review that nobody will waste any time and money with Mr. Green. Its a shame that Nova Southeastern University awarded a degree to Mr. Green and that Advanced Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery does not offer any additional training to their doctors.

About me: Graduated from two universities, have atopic eczema for more than 15 years, have read more than 150 scientific studies about AE, consulted more than 30 doctors and done interview with more than 50 patients with AE.

There was no annoying music playing while I waited or during my visit. I appreciated that they didn't have that typical elevator music on. They always dress so professionally here, the entire staff obviously makes an effort to look their best and maintain a very professional appearance.

The entire staff is really super and dependable. They always attempt to fit me in for an appointment when it is necessary. One of the first things I noticed about this business was how many different areas of the building were handicap-accessible. I have been to other places where I couldn't tell how someone in a wheelchair could even enter, but they really spent a lot of time to accommodate people with all different needs.

Their office was way too cold, I was absolutely freezing; but, I usually have a problem with the cold so I think the office was cold...but, on the other hand, it had to be because of the almighty germs that are always present in a doctor's office.
