Dr. Fakhouri spent ample time with me and took time to explain what was medically troubling me. Excellent bedside manner. Staff was friendly and attentive.

All the kings horses and all the kings men and extremely talented hand surgeon put Liz's wrist back together again! I cannot express enough the gratitude to Dr. Anton Fakhouri and the entire staff of MidAmerica Orthopaedics. Dr. Fakhouri is very kind, he has a wonderful bedside manner and Dr. Fakhouri and I have the same goal-to repair my wrist so that I may lead a normal life with use and mobility of my arm. Dr. Fakhouri is an extremely intelligent and skilled surgeon. I was unlucky to break my wrist but i was very lucky to find Dr. Fakhouri-Thank you so very much.

i think dr Fakhouri treated me with kindness and respect. I really didn't think my diagnose was that serious. But he treated as if I was very important and he followed these thru. If I wanted anyone to treat me it would be him

From the 1st appointment, to surgery, to post-op, to therapyI am overwhelmed by the love of professionalism, compassion, and skill this practice provided me. I would, and have, spread the word to my friends, family and acquaintances. I specially want to recognize DR. Fakhouri for putting my severely shattered wrist back together. He was encouraging and prepared me for the work I had to put in. Along with the medical side I owe a lot to Brian Bonner who has been my primary O/T. He has physically and mentally supported my rehabilitation. Another O/T who I also owe a lot to is RussThompson. Both of these gentleman have the gift of tayloring treatmentto the individual and encourage my questions comments and concerns.

First, let me say that I am a nice, patient person and have never written a doctor review before. I don't like to speak or write negatively about anyone. But, the way I was treated by Dr. Fakhouri & (most of) his staff, was very disrespectful & uncalled for. I went to see Dr. Fakhouri for a second opinion. Initially, he seemed willing to hear me explain my symptoms & history. However, he had zero compassion for the level of pain I was in & acted as though I was crazy when I provided him with a list of previous Dr's I've seen & treatment I've had for this ongoing problem. I felt like I was being interrogated as though I were crazy and/or in trouble. He questioned me about my mental health & what I discuss with a specific Dr in another field. This other Dr had nothing to do with the reason for my visit & he had no right to pressure me to disclose any of that personal information. He ordered an MRI, but refused to go over the results with me. I had made a follow up appt to receive the results & hoped to have a plan of treatment as it is extremely painful to do my job. Anyone who is in a lot of pain (especially long term) wants answers as to why. As well as a clear plan of what to do about it. Especially if you're living pay check to pay check. After waiting almost an hour to see him, his Medical Assistant came in to tell me that he would not see me until he received the Dr notes from all of the other Dr's I've seen for this injury. (I was under the impression these notes had been faxed to him already per his request during my 1st visit).) After spending more time physically collecting these notes, I made a new follow up appt. His assistant called me 2 days prior to this appt to confirm I had the notes. I told her I did & she requested I fax them so Dr. F could go over them before my appt. I said I would. But, a 1/2 hour later I received a call from a receptionist who informed me that Dr. Fakhouri was canceling my appt & refusing to treat me any further for this injury. I was told to contact my primary physician to learn my MRI results. (Which she never received.) I then made several attempts to speak w/ him, his assistant, and 2 office managers. I finally spoke with a manager who said she would help me find out out why he was treating me this way. I got the run around from her, as well. Ultimately, I was told Dr wanted the notes & wanted me to get a test (EMG) - which he never even ordered for me. She also said she knew nothing about the phone call from the receptionist canceling my appt & refusing further treatment. She was very rude as well. I have never had such a negative experience. I have since seen another Dr for this injury who went over the MRI Dr. Fakhouri ordered. This Dr explained I have 3 things going on in my wrist that could very well be helped by surgery. I hope this review helps & if you do visit this Dr., I hope you have a much better experience than I did.

This was my first time visiting this facility along with Dr Fakhouri (sp?). From the moment I walked into the office I knew I was in the right place. The office itself is "top shelf", decorated well and obviously they don't skimp on technology. The front desk lady was nice and friendly. The nurses all were equally nice and made me feel at home. When the doctor came in, he was very nice and funny!!! He was a wealth of knowledge and had a very good bedside manner. Hopefully I don't have to come back here again for an injury, but if I am injured, I would not hesitate to return to this fine establishment.
