When my GP recommended that I see an infectious disease specialist a friend of mine recommended that I see Dr. Bock, I still don't understand how that friend thought she was a good idea but I thought I would give it a try. I was a little nervous after entering her office and feeling like it was a throw back to the 80's but who was I to judge a book by its cover, boy was I wrong, I should have listened to my gut and walked back out the door. The front desk lady was very welcoming and friendly, however I found it odd the secretary also takes your blood pressure and temperature as if she is a nurse, but maybe they are just efficient. When I finally met with Dr. Bock ( literally 40 min after my scheduled appointment) I soon could tell this was going to be a waste of my time and money. Her inability to connect and listen to a patient is shocking. She is what I would call "socially awkward", which is not very reassuring for a patient. All she does is review your paperwork you fill out and make condescending remarks that make you feel belittled. Needless to say I walked out of her office feeling worse than before and stuck with a $300 bill. Luckily I was able to find another specialist who was able to treat me like a patient and I am almost 100% better. Don't waste your time or money here. I still can't believe Hoag would affiliate themselves with a practice like this.

You will find Dr. Bock to be highly competent and exceptionally thorough. No stone is left unturned with Dr. Bock. Your file, test results and symptoms are reviewed in detail. She will spend as much time with you as necessary. Dr. Bock attends all the relevent conferences and is often contacted by other doctors for advice. Dr. Bock has been my doctor for seven years. The office staff is wonderful and will get you an immediate appointment if you are ill.

Definitely not; I received the best service ever!

No, they've never taken personal calls with me

Bonnie Bock is condescending, arrogant, and totally uninvolved. What a flake of a doctor, what a flake of a human being. She insisted on having previous records to read, and read them she did... FOR THE ENTIRE APPOINTMENT. Any discussion was forced, and she wasn't interested in symptoms or ongoing conditions. Not concerned, not interested, not helpful. Then, dismissed with a wave of the hand. Old, unclean office with worn and frayed examination tables from the 1970's. Easily, the worst md experience I've had. Unbelievable really. Stay away.

The wait wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the best
