Right now I am not sure if Lasik was a good investment for me. Sure, Im seeing better than before without contacts but worse than I was seeing with contacts. And it's been about 6 weeks. I would not be happy if my current vision will be the case long-term. I was also told that my redness (broken blood vessels) that made me look like a vampire would dissipate within a week after having surgery and it took over a month. I had events to attend a few weeks after surgery and it was frustrating and would have been nice to be forewarned the healing could have taken longer. I was also just told for my follow up that the rewetting drops will help aid in the healing of my eyes and was not told that previously. It was more 'use them as needed' so I do not think I have been using them as often as I should. So that is a cause for concern. I am grateful that I am seeing better without contacts and I am not blind so I am VERY grateful for that but I think I will have a better determination on my satisfaction in a few months. Which I am now told is the new timeframe for my eyes to adjust to the surgery. I was also told I am healing slower than most patients so maybe this is not the norm for most people.
I am extremely pleased with Dr. Woolfson and his entire staff! Everyone has continued to go the extra mile to ensure the process (surgery, recovery, and follow-up appointments) runs as smoothly as possible. I was especially pleased to receive a personalized handwritten note from Dr. Woolfson after my surgery. He is one of a kind!
