I had to wait longer than I wanted to to schedule surgery, but it all worked out and I had a good experience!

During the surgery everything went fine. All my immediate questions were answered. However, the problem was with the after care of the surgery. I was given no instructions to take home with me, and there were no verbal instructions on what to do for after surgery home care. They only thing I was informed about, was to just keep the area clean. So I had to research online for some general after care instructions. I asked for a doctors note and I had to walk out of the room and up to the nurses station just to remind them to get the note. Other than that, everything else was fine.

I was very satisfied with the out come and the care I received from Dr. Jayawardena and the staff at the hospital. I was surprised at how long it took for my groin area to return to return to normal ( 6 months ) although I was able to return to my serious athletic activity three weeks after the hernia operation....Tks Dr. Jay......
