We were greeted by a friendly receptionist. We arrived early for our appointment but still didn't wait long. The nurse who took my information was specially nice. Dr Jay and the nurse listened carefully and answered our questions. The checkout person made sure that the test I need can be done at FGH. She is now checking to be sure it is covered by my insurance before making the appointment.

I had part of my colon removed by Dr. Jay. As far as I am concerned he is very good at what he does, and does very good follow up. I would recommend him highly.

Dr. J. performed an EGD on me at Franklin General Hospital. It was painless since I was anesthetized. All went very well. During the procedure Dr. J. took two biopsies. I had a followup appointment with him on July 13th. He reported that the procedure did not show any abnormalities, nor did the biopsies.

This was my first experience with Dr. Jayawardena and Mason City Clinic. I would highly recommend both Dr. Jay and the Mason City Clinic to everyone. The care was wonderful and very thorough. It was everything I hoped for and more.

The total experience went very smoothly. Dr. Jay was excellent and explained the procedure very thoroughly. He also listened very carefully to our questions and answered them to our satisfaction. He is an Excellent Doctor. Had a nurse named Brook who was Excellent and very helpful. Overall, our experience from my husband's viewpoint (patient) and mine, was Excellent. We felt very confident with their skills! We would highly recommend this surgeon and staff!

My experience with Dr. Jay was wonderful. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. He never sugar coated anything but he did not make me feel like I was imagining things either. After the ultrasound was inconclusive, rather than go through another type of test, he decided to do exploratory surgery quickly and that was when he found the femoral hernia. He repaired it and I feel like I have healed quickly. He was always kind and friendly and I certainly hope that he is recovering from his car accident as well and as quickly as I did.
