I am a hygienist in a practice in Howard County. I know Dr. Goodman's office and it is highly respected, as are the hygienists who work there. People who do not brush their own teeth regularly are likely to have bleeding gums and periodontal disease. Patients (like Lawman) should not depend on their hygienists to maintain their dental health. Even if the children came in for regular visits (even three times a year) if they do not maintain their dental hygiene between those visits they are prone to have problems. I have seen this same situation over and over again in my practice. Requiring patients to come in for additional/deep cleaning is not a tactic or a scam, but is the current standard of care to ensure your dental health.

Definitely not, and when I arrived they had forgotten that I had an appointment

No, I didn't receive anything at all
Did this dentist practice good oral hygiene?
Absolutely not, I don't even think they brushed their teeth

The staff didn't seem to know very much, they couldn't ever answer my questions

Definitely not. They were unaware of my situation, even though they had my information

Definitely not! It was obvious they just wanted to make money!

Yes, I had to wait forever.
