HI SAD BUT VERY TRUE STORY. MY FAMILY AND I WERE GOING HERE SINCE 2003. IM NOT PICKY SO I GUESS THATS WHY I STAYED HERE AS A PATIENT FOR SO LONG. LONG STORY SHORT AS POSSIBLE. THESE CRROKED PEOPLE THAT WORK HERE DOUBLE DIP. THEY BILL INSURANCE FOR WORK THAT WAS NEVER DONE AND THEY TELL ME ITS NOT COVERED AFTER OF COURSE THE WORK IS DONE SO I PAY OUT OF POCKET.
IN APRIL 2009 I WENT IN THE OFFICE COMPLAINING OF MY TEETH FEELING SENSITIVE. DOCTOR SAID LUMINEERS WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM. DR STATED MY TEETH ARE THIN WHICH IS WHY IM FEELING THIS PAIN. $5000 LATER MY BEAUTIFUL SMILE WAS DESTROYED. HE DRILLED MY TEETH SO SHORT LIKE TREE STUMPS ANS SENT ME HOME WITHOUT ANY MEDS OR EVEN A TEMPORARY SET OF LUMINEERS. MY GOD THIS WAS AWFUL. I LOOKED LIKE A FREAK FOR 8 WEEKS UNTIL MY LUMINEERS CAME IN. FINALLY WHEN THEY DID THEY WERE TOO BIG AND THE COLOR DIDNT MATCH MY TEETH. AT THIS POINT I HAD THEM PUT IN TO STOP THE PAIN. EVEN AIR ON MY TEETH WAS EXCRUCIATING FOR THOSE 8 WEEKS. NOW I LIVE IN ANOTHER STATE AND SAW A KNEW DENTIST BECAUSE THE LUMINEERS WERE COMING LOOSE 18 MONTHS LATER. THE DOCTOR SAID HE NEVER SAW A JOB SO BAD AND SENT FOR MY MEDICAL RECORDS AND MY LUMINEERS CERTIFICATE TO BAYWEST FAMILY DENTAL. NOT ONLY WERE KAREN THE OFFICE MNGR AND KAREN THE LADY THAT FRAUDS THE INSURANCE COMPANIES RUDE, BUT STATED THAT MY RECORDS WERE IN STORAGE. THEY COULD NOT FIND MY LUMINEERS CERTIFICATE AND WANTED 20 BUCKS JUST TO TRANSFER MY RECORDS. I AGREED AND THEN THEY SAID "OH YOU HAVE A 441.32 BALANCE. THEY SAID THEY CANNOT SEND MY RECORDS IF THEIR IS ANY UNTIL I PAY. EVEN THOUGH ITS AGAINST HIPPA FOR THEM TO BLACKMAIL ME THIS WAY I AGREED AGAIN. LONG STORY SHORT...HERES THE BEST PART..."OH YOU CANT PAY US CALL THIS COLLECTION AGENCY PAY THEM AND WE WILL GIVE YOUR RECORDS TO YOUR NEW DENTIST..HERES THE PROBLEM...CALLED THE NUMBER WHICH YOU CANT GET THROUGH TO...CALLED BAYWEST BACK THEY SAID NOTHING THEY CAN DO. I NOW HAVE REALIZED I PAID 5000 FOR GOD KNOWS WHAT THEY PUT IN MY MOUTH...BEWARE...I HAVE ALREADY FILED A GRIEVANCE WITH HIPPA TO GET MY OWN RECORDS.

I understand that when children are taken to the dentist sometimes the facility needs a parents help with calming children. During this time if children are watched permission is needed to brush teeth and see the dentist. Do not try to then get the permission after so the insurance company or family can be billed. This is terrible practice and a good way to loose a patient or a family of patients.
