I visited the dental office today to get a routine cleaning, with the expectation of the dentist most likely advising me to have a root canal. I also need a dental bridge. Once I signed my name on the sign-in sheet, the drama started. My son, who has his own insurance and account owes a bill to Anderson Dental. Each time I go in for service, they call me in the back and ask me to give him a message to pay the bill. Here's the issue, they have now added his charges to my account to make me responsible for his bill. This office has promised to fixed this error for over a year and it's still incorrect. I cannot fix an error they made in their own system. during today's visit, Office Manager, Carolyn Henley sent me a message (via the check-in agent) stating she would ALLOW me to use their service today; however, they will not see me again until my SON's bill is paid. I am not accountable for someone else's bill. I canceled my appointmet and left. I am contacting my employer and reporting this issue in hopes that we remove this office from our list of providers. I will be posting this on facebook and anywhere else there is an audience. Dr. Strickland is fine, but they will tilt you over and shake you until every dime falls out of your pocket

Beware, very shoddy dental work. One of the dentists actually anesthetized my TONGUE instead of the right side of my gums when I went for a total deep cleaning last year, and her assistant insisted that was normal (it's not). My husband has gone to the office 3 times this past week to get his crown replaced and each temporary tooth that has been placed by the dental assistant has fallen out within 1-2 days, causing extreme inconvenience and embarrasment. The reason he needed his crown replaced in the first place was bc one of the dental assistants broke it when they were doing an x ray. Yet this office took no responsibility and he was charged the full price for a replacement crown (500 dollars after insurance). The 3rd time his 3rd replacement tooth fell out he rushed to the office after work and after I also pleaded with the staff to stay an extra 20 minutes for him to make the commute from Katy/1-10 area to the office (luckily he didn't get into an accident or ticket or worse) bc it was a Friday night right before close. So much more I can add but save your money if you have a choice. Hit and miss. After seeing what has happened to my husband and the experience I have had I will never go back here again as I do not trust any of the staff here. Regardless of whether you get a free toothbrush or not or whether the chairs are comfortable, the dental work that is done should not have to be redone 3 times within one week. Ridiculous.

THIS WAS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND THE MOST CROOKED DENTAL OFFICE I HAVE EVER VISITED - AND I HAVE BEEN TO A FEW. DURING MY VISIT, I WAS SUBJECTED TO THE MOST APPALLING SERVICE EVER AND I COULDN'T BELIEVE THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS EXISTED IN SUGARLAND, LET ALONE IN THE UNITED STATES. THIS WAS THE TYPE OF SERVICE YOU WOULD EXPECT IN A THIRD WORLD IMPOVERISHED COUNTRY WHERE THERE IS A TOTAL DISREGARD FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WAS ASKED TO PAY BEFORE SERVICE EVEN WHEN I PRESENTED MY INSURANCE. THE WORST WOULD COME LATER! I OBLIGED BY PAYING AND WAS TOLD THAT A DENTIST WOULD SEE ME BUT BEFORE THAT, I SHOULD HAVE A NEEDLESS XRAY DONE, WHICH I OBLIGED AGAIN. THEN I WAS TAKEN TO A SHABBY OFFICE WITH BLOOD STAINS AND OTHER UNPLEASANT RESIDUES AND TOLD TO LIE IN A DIRTY BENCH THAT WAS NOT EVEN COVERED WITH THE TRADITIONAL WHITE CLOTH YOU USUALLY FOUND IN A DENTAL OFFICE. I AGAIN OBLIGED. AT THIS TIME, I SHOULD HAVE LEFT BUT BEING A GOOD CITIZEN, I WANTED TO STAY THE COURSE. THE XRAY WAS COMPLETED AND I WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHR DIRTY, BLOOD STAINED AND A VERY UNHYGIENIC OFFICE TO WAIT FOR A DENTIST. BEFORE MEETING WITH THE DENTIST, SOME LADY CAME AND SAID I SHOULD PAY BEFORE SERVICE AND THAT I SHOULD ALSO PAY FOR MY FUTURE VISITS. I SAID I HAVE NEVER BEEN REQUESTED TO PAY BEFORE SERVICE. USUALLY YOU PAY AFTER THE SERVICE IS COMPLETED. I ALSO REMINDED THE LADY THAT MY INSURANCE WAS ALREADY CONFIRMED AND SHE SAID I WAS STILL REQUIRED TO PAY. I PAID AND CONTINUED TO ENDLESSLY WAIT FOR A DENTIST TO COME TO THE CUBICLE-LIKE OFFICE. WHILE WAITING THE LADY WHO TOOK THE XRAY CAME AND GAVE ME A FORM TO SIGN. I READ THE FORM WHICH WAS A WAIVER. THE FORM CONTAINED THE USUAL PRECAUTIONS THAT DENTISTS OR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS USUALLY TAKE EXCEPT THAT THIS ONE CONTAINED A PARAGRAPHS THAT SAID THEY WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF INJURIES SHOULD OCCUR DURING THE PROCEDURE AND THAT A NERVE MAY BE DAMAGED WHICH COULD CAUSE AN IMPAIRMENT. I SAID I WILL SIGN EVERYTHING BUT THE PARAGRAPH THAT INDEMNIFYIED THE COMPANY AGAINST INJURING ME. AT THIS POINT, THE LADY SAID SHE WOULD TALK TO THE MANAGER. SHE RETURNED A FEW MINUTES LATER AND TOLD ME THAT THEY COULD NOT TREAT ME. I ASKED FOR MY INFORMATION AND THEY REFUSED, SAYING THEY HAD TO KEEP RECORDS OF MY VISIT. THEY ALSO ASSURED ME THAT MY INSURANCE WILL NOT BE CHARGED SINCE THERE WAS NO SERVICE.

TWO WEEKS LATER, I RECEIVED A BILL FOR $188.00 SUBMITTED BY ANDERSON DENTAL DDS, FOR MY VISIT! IT WAS THEN THAT I REALIZED THAT I SHOULD HAVE OBEYED MY INSTINCTS THAT INWARDLY WARNED ME THAT THIS WAS NOT ONLY A SHABBY DENTAL OFFICE BUT A CROOKED AND AN UNPROFESSIONAL ONE AS WELL. WHILE I PLAN TO LEGAL ACTIONS AGAINST THIS COMPANY, I WILL ALSO LIKE TO WARN PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS ABOUT THIS ANDERSON DENTAL, DDS.

I WILL ADVICE INDIVIDUALS VISITING THIS COMPANY TO BE VERY CAREFUL AS I DON'T THINK MY EXPERIENCE IS AN ISOLATED EXPERIENCE!
