I have been seeing Dr. Karen Dias-Martin for at least 7 years. I recently (March 2012) had a serious problem and called her for help. (I had seen her last in August 2011 for a yearly check-up.) After waiting for her to get back to me for 24 hours her office staff responded and wanted to relay my concerns to her. I tried this method of "talking" to the doctor, it didn't work. I asked to speak with her and she finally called me back directly. She immediately sent me for a test and then referred me to another gynecological specialist before even seeing the results from the test. My doctor, Dr. Dias-Martin, is a specialist in the area of my problem! When she got a copy of my test results she did not call me. After 3 days I called her and she was reluctant to tell me what the results were from the test. She wanted the second specialist to talk to me first. I was being tested for cancer! After I had seen the second specialist, that doctor suggested I follow-up with my original gynecologist, Dr. Dias-Martin, for further treatment since there was no cancer for which I am grateful. Well, I have tried to do that but she did not call me about my test results or blood work. She did not return my call trying to follow-up with her. I must reiterate that she is a specialist in the area in which I am having the problem. I have NEVER needed to call her outside of my yearly appointment until this past month. So, I am not exactly a pest patient but I admit that I don't generate much income for her either outside of the $250 payment for my yearly check-up. At one time I thought so much of this doctor that I have paid out-of-pocket for her services for years because she did not take my insurance. However, last year (2011) her office could not take my credit card because of an equipment problem on their end. Instead of letting me mail her a check she, the doctor herself, requested that I go home, get a check and bring it back to her office that day and, idiot that I am, I did! When I tried to get my medical records to take to my new gynecologist Dr. Dias-Martin wanted to charge me for this service because "it takes a lot of paper." When I protested this charge to her staff in view of my annual out-of-pocket expenses to the doctor, the young woman hung up on me. I feel very betrayed by this doctor, by her lack of concern, lack of treatment and callous attitude after seeing her for years.

They have some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Putting their customers first is definitely a priority here and it shows. I always have the best experience every time I have an appointment here. Although I have not had much to complain about, I have noticed that they strongly adhere to the customer is always right policy and if anything goes wrong make every effort to correct the situation. Their primary concern is my safety and comfort, and they always take the time to address every concern of mine immediately.

I couldn't believe how great their office looked. It was very obvious that they took pride in the office's appearance. It was one of the best looking offices I've ever seen. They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. They were very sympathetic to my situation, and made me feel cared for. I knew that I could count on them at all times. I was confident that they were using the latest treatment methods.
