I was recently diagnosed with something that forced me to be rushed to ER. I'm so young the hospital staff kept asking me during questioning if my primary care physician ever gave me any idea hat this could happen since there are early signs. I felt like an idiot becasue he did not. Looking back, there were so many signs especially with my family history that he knew and he said nothing. With all the blood, urinary, and ultra sound testing you would think they would have notified me but all they ever said that I was fine. Trusting this office with my health is one of my biggest regret in life. They are not mean but they are also not meant to be in business. There was not only one sign but at least several that gave earl indication of my diagnosis. I'm regretful that I was able to switch. What made it worst was that when I came out of the hospital and told them that I needed to check up with a physician in 3-5 days per hospital policy, they said they can't see me for another couple of weeks. They should really be more stern on how doctors operate their practice.

Pluses: Great doctor at saving a patient's life. His medical decisions are top rate as a physician. While in his office examining office he is personable, although in a noticeable hurry to move onto the next appointment.

Minuses: Not great at making or returning calls to patients & families. You really have to push to get an answer or a (free) signature on necessary paperwork. Seems like he has more patients than he can handle at times, but he does accept all times of insurance & medicare. Unfortunately, the BIG minus of his practice is his office staff. The office manager can be rude & the other associates are barely able to cope with the workload. When you do find a very helpful doctor's assistant or office worker, they are gone before your next appointment. The turnover of his staff is ongoing, as if the young women who work there are either students or hired on a 3-month trial basis.

Dr. Herrera has no bedside manner and is rude. He has no compassion for what patients and family members are going through. He is unreliable.

Dr. Charles Herrera's office is very unprofessional and rude, especially the office manager. When you call they rarely pickup, and when they do, they place you on long holds. Your records are exposed to others. They will send your lab work to the wrong lab. High staff turnover. Expect to wait more than an hour above your appointment time, over booked and the doctor only has about 3 minutes to see you. WORST OFFICE EVER!

You won't hear me say that Charles Herrera is a bad doctor but I have come to the conclusion that he is either completely ignorant of how badly patients are treated by his office staff or he doen't recognize that the emotional and psychological well being of his patients is an important part of their treatment and care. His staff is rude, disrespectful and dismissive. If you feel ill, after a conversation with them you feel worse. And every six months they make these annoying sales calls demanding for you to make an appointment but outside of that, when you are truly sick, you can't get to see the doctor. It's ridiculous. Customer Service Training is affordable and Customer Satisfaction Surveys are easily admistered. Show you care Dr. Herrera and do something about it.
