Crossroads hospital is suppose to be a place where your child can get help. I feel that some of the staff there are very unprofessional. If they can react that way with a parent; imagine how they act towards yor child. My child was there and i must say I was not pleased. My child was sharing her room with a more aggressive child; I complained they said they had removed the other child. THEY LIED!!!!! the child was still in the room. They have some staff that really do care and do there job the right way. I would not reccommend anyone there. It hurts to know my child had to experience this. parents plz do your research on this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter died while in the care of Crossroads. A State of La. investigation was conducted Oct. 15, 2010. The male mht that was responsible for her admited to falsifing her records that he checked on her every 15 mins. when in fact he did not. This is the same mht that May 2010 left 3 adolescent males unattended. The only thing the hospital did was to move him to the girls side. There wasn't even hospital policy for cases of abuse/neglect. Maybe if the hospital had done their job in May she might be alive today. This company makes 30 to 50 million dollars a year but doesn't take their patient care seriously. Please do not sent your loved ones to Crossroads. Its clear that their only in it for the money! Justice for Destiny!

I would never recommend them to anyone. We admitted our son there to get help for him - a mistake, not only for him going there, but also were not told that by default the state was taking custody of him and we would have no say so after that. We could not get him out for a week + and was told several different stories from employees. Mismanaged engrained, but with a court-ordered new administrator trying to straighten the mess out. Employees trying to hide incompetency (we were even sent home with another child's medicine!). Was told over and over again that we were unusual in that we were visiting out son daily and was looking out for his welfare. Impression that they were fighting to stay in business.

MY 8YR OLD SON IS THERE. AND FOR THE LAST THREE DAYS HE HAS BEEN TELLING ME THAT HE WANTS TO COME HOME AND THAT HE DON'T LIKE IT THERE. HE SAYS HIS FEET HURT HIM AND THAT HIS BED IS SOOO HARD. THAT IT IS HARD FOR HIM TO SLEEP. HE ALREADY HAS THAT PROBLEM, OF NOT BEING ABLE TO SLEEP. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST, BUT I AM HAVING A VERY HARD TIME BELIEVING THEM NOW AFTER EVERYTHING I HAVE READ AND SEEN.

As a spouse of a patient in this psychiatric hospital for an extended time, I was outraged and shocked at their in-compassionate, exclusionary policy of immediate family. These people won't even sit with you and explain the process, time frames, or procedures,,, much less the progress of your spouse. Stay as far from it as possible, I only wish I could direct others to a better facility, but I can only assess this place on how they strive to trash a family's well being.
