This place is AWEFUL.
The place is filthy, they constantly give out wrong medicines and my loved one got her morning medicine and evening medicine for the day all in one lump at 3pm.
They never empty the trash from the rooms, don't change the beds, don't bath the patients, the elevator is filthy the carpet is stained and nasty.
The food is atrocious. No concern whether you are diabetic or anything.
I witnessed them bring a cart of rancid food from the kitchen onto the elevator and everything was grimy, dirty looking.
This place should be inspected and shut down.

My mother-in-law stayed at Rosewood for a couple weeks before she passed. They were short staffed most days. I felt the facility could be cleaner. It smelled of urine on several occasions. A handful of the staff were great while others did not seem to care much at all.

If you require assistance on a regular basis I would consider looking at other options. I was not impressed and would not go here myself.

My mother is currently in Rosewood. I would not recommend this place. I would move her to another facility but because of health issues and stress level in moving and adjusting to another facility I am forced to leave her there. The company that took over this facility is more interested in making money than in the care of the elderly. They no longer supply wet wipes for example. The staff is a revolving door. They will bring the elderly to the nursing station as many as 15+ because they are understaffed and it is easier to watch them. This may have been a quality place at one time but it truly is not this way anymore. The place is clean and for most part does not smell. The food is horrible. Very much understaffed especially the CNS's. There are a few there that really care. I would NOT recommend this place at all.

The Groves has been taken over by Rosewood Health and Rehab. When we first moved my Mother into the Groves with Alzheimers, she was well cared for, in a Christian environment.. She paid a portion of her care (about $56/day) and Medicare paid the rest.. . When Rosewood took over, care gradually began to diminish- still ok... but little by little, the staffing and resident interaction shrank. When she passed away 5 years and $95000.00 (of her portion) later, she did so 6 days into a new month. For the last six days, she ate no food, and lay unresponsive in her bed, attended only by Hospice. Medicaid paid her expenses for the six days, and I called and offered to pay the $56/day that she had been paying for 5 years. But suddenly that was not good enough. They sent me a bill for $875.00, because that is "just how we bill". We had some extra funeral expenses, and cannot afford this. They told me that unless I paid their bogus balance they would not give me my photographs and paintings, which were done for her by my late, arthritic father and are of no value to anyone but me. This caring, Christian place has turned into something quite a bit darker under Rosewoods' management. Beware

The groves retirement community is nothing more than a cash cow they could care less about the residents. I mean you have a few staff that care but I do mean only 10%. Thevgroves also have an issue with racial discrimination in as well as retaliation. They've gotten away with for so long because no one has spoken up. But This has to stop.
