My mother was at this facility until she passed this past week. Most of the staff were very sweet and kind. But there was one nurse who made me feel like I was an outsider and even sent me into tears. There were many times I had to go get a nurse to make sure my mother was comfortable as the pain meds were wearing off more quickly as the time went on. She went without water for over 5 days before she passed but her oxygen was left on at 6 causing her heart and brain to continue to function. So she basically dehydrated to death after 5 days. A horrible way to watch someone pass.

We had a great experience at Peppi's house with my father. He was at home and having symptoms that were unmanageable for my mother who was caring for him. We never thought that the disease would take away my father's dignity teh way it did. TMC Hospice gave us the dignity , respect and compassion we needed during our time with him. We were able to focus on him for time he hand remaining on this earth. They keep him comfortable and we couln't of cared for him without there help. The compassion felt among all the staff was heartwarming. I would highly recommend TMC Hospice/Peppi's House to anyone searching for a hospice for their loved one.

They made sure that their qualifications were obvious. I was confident that I was under the care of a professional. I will absolutely tell people I know looking for a hospice about this place. They were amazing the whole time. Not only do my appointments never get canceled last minute, they take time out of their day to send me a reminder so I don't forget. They are extremely reliable. They explained all the risks and benefits of my treatment options. Everything was explained in detail, all my questions were answered, and I felt a lot better about choosing a treatment plan. Their office was well organized and clean. I could tell they took a lot of time making sure it was presentable.

First of all the are strict Medicare guidelines that TMC follows before admitting a patient to Hospice. They send out RN's to do the evaluations . People are misinformed about how the in-pt is used. There has got to be a symptom, ( pain, nausea/vomiting, shortness of breath etc) that can't be managed at home or a patient is on TMC Hospice and the family needs a break ( respite care) the patient can stay at Peppi's House for 5 consecutive days. I find it hard that Peppi's House was empty as they are usually full and have a waitng list. It is very quiet home like environment staffed with RN's 24/7. Most Hospice care is provided in the home.
