Sleepcair could try to have some sort of customer service. The typical response is that isn't my department. There is no communication within the company and if you have insurance, they will charge you more. They are defiantly part of what is wrong with the healthcare industry. I wouldn't suggest this place unless you feel like getting ripped off and screwed over.

Worst company I've ever HAD to deal with. If I had a choice, I would never do business with them. They sent a certified letter saying that I was non-compliant and that my insurance would not pay for my machine. I was not told that I had to wear the device 4 hours at a time (the requirement for Medicare and Medicaid). But during the class on how to work the device, I was told that I didn't have to worry since I had my own insurance. For most of my nights I wear the mask between 2.5 and 3.5 hours. At this time my throat would get dried out and I would pull it off half asleep. But I also do not sleep very many hours at night. I also wear it during the day when I nap in the afternoon which won't be for 4 hours at a time.


Because (according to Sleepcair) my insurance would not pay for it, I would have to return the machine or pay for it myself. My husband called our insurance provider and said there was not an issue and that they were paying for it.

When I called to speak to them about it, they flat out lied to me and said that they had called me to notify me about the non-compliance. I did receive a phone call but it was because they could not read the serial number that someone else had written down for my machine. They were simply trying to get the correct serial number.


I still haven't gotten to the bottom of this issue. They wanted to send someone to my house to take the c-pap back the day after getting my first notice of this, so everything seems a bit shady to me. I called them to tell them that my insurance had paid for it and that there weren't any issues with future payments and they said that they would send me the bill.


If you have an option on where to get your device, I would recommend anywhere else.

Also, if anyone has any influence on Medicare and Medicaid policy, I would recommend that they lift the requirement of wearing the device for 4 hours at a time each night. It seems a little like Big Brother to me and they don't know the lifestyle for each person. The requirement should be that they are wearing it everyday. I understand they don't want to waste government money, so if someone hasn't turned it on for weeks at a time, then they shouldn't provide it for them.

Not the greatest, hard to contact, items not sent on time, first size they put me in was incorrect, you have to go to them as some will come to your home, but overall it is ok.

I would not recommend this provider at all. The customer service I have received in the year and a half I tried to use them for CPAP supplies has been deplorable! I had a face to face meeting with their representative in Lawrence, KS in March of 2016. I was told at that time that I had given them all the documentation necessary to receive supplies, and would receive them on a regular basis through the mail. When I had not received supplies 9 months later, I called to inquire and was told that I was not in their system, that they had no file on me, and would do some research and get back with me. Eventually, they did call, said they had found my file, had entered me in their system, and we were all set. Seven months later I called to inquire on when I was due for new supplies, and was informed that I was not in their system! They said they would do some research on finding my file, and would get back with me. A week later, after not hearing back from them, I called them. The representative that had taken all of my info and was supposed to call me back, did not have a clue who I was or why I was calling. She placed me on hold, and when she came back to the phone, informed me that they had lost my file along with many other clients files, and that I would need to see my doctor and start over with the paper work just like a new customer. She also informed me that I would probably be better off with a different provider.

These people seem more interested in selling you things that making sure you have the right equipment. If my insurance paid for my supplies from another vendor I would not use them at all. My suggestion, if you have a choice go elsewhere.

I had a 1:00 appointment. I was called at 12:50 and told they had a walk in come to the office, so they wouldn't make my appointment until 1:45. How unprofessional. When I called to get a different face mask, I was told I would need to get Dr's orders for a new one. Are you kidding me? I had my doubts as to whether the person answering the phone knew what she was talking about as I would ask a question and there would be a long silence. I finally asked what I needed to do to return the equipment and was told a Dr's order would be needed to stop the service. They will be getting that order straight away. It leaves me wondering if the owner of the company knows how unprofessionally the staff conduct themselves.

Excellent provider. Delivered and set up my equipment the same day my doctor called in the order. The Respiratory Therapist who visited me was professional, friendly and courteous and explained everything carefully. I got a follow-up call a few days later to ensure that everything was working properly and that I was comfortable with the use of the equipment. I would recommend this company to anyone needing care for COPD or any other respiratory disease.
