I had a really good review to share about Dr. Trisha Ballard from when she was my holistic veterinarian MANY YEARS AGO. I have praised her abilities to many folks over the years, and I was surprised to discover today (July 6, 2024) that she is no longer practicing in Carrollton, TX. I sure would like to know where she is (where she went) and what happened that she is no longer veterinary medicine in my neck of the woods!

She's the only vet in 5 years to listen and look at my dog and diagnose and treat him successfully. I still think about her and how i wish I had her locally as a vet. We moved to Seattle and I never came back. I miss you, Dr Ballard! How's this for irony, apparsntly your impact was strong...I now live in Ballard Seattle. 😂

Dr Trisha Ballard was the most knowledgeable and most loving vet in the entire DFW metroplex ! Her clinic was the most pet friendly and pet oriented animal care facility I have EVER in my lifetime encountered. It was most colorful and such a 'pet wonderland' to walk into ! She was our vet for many MANY years and took care of ALL of our kitties and most beloved Maltese dog, ' Baby '. Dr. Ballard was and always be the most amazing vet who I hold in the most high regard !

As of February 2016, the clinic has closed. Apparently, no forward address nor notification to clients. The doctor can apparently be contacted by the same phone number, per the sign posted on the door of the vacant office. No further explanation. Wish the website would be updated to reflect the change.

DEATH SENTENCE -

This is what Dr. Trisha Ballard gave my little girl. I even hate to call her a doctor. Its been a whirl wind since the beginning of the year for me a my little girl who use to see Dr. B the last time we were in her office and during her examination of her (which I had to beg her to actually pick her up and listen to her heart) Dr. B real casually mention that she had a heart murmur and that was it did not go into detail about it or tell me she could die from it and did tell me to get her to a cardiologist just said yep she has a heart murmur and gave me something for her lungs. Well I guess you could say I should of said something and your right I should of but I figured if it was bad she would say something like we need to start some type of treatment on my little girl but she didn't not a word. So I had a gut feeling I better seek another opinion and I did I took her to the Cardiologist and come to find out she has a stage five heart murmur I was devasted I cried I yield I ask God why didn't Dr., B say something to me maybe we could have caught this in time before it got to this stage it was too late now all we can do is try our best and slow it down the Cardiologist gives her 8 months. I gone to GREAT lengths to find a cure I even contacted a vet in Europe and now I'm consulting with a vet in California. I LOVE my little girl I cry ever day thinking why why wouldn't Dr. B say something about this so we could treat my little girl. I don't sleep at night because she has a cough with her heart murmur and if you have never experienced this trust me you don't want to it breaks my heart because I can't help her all I can do is just hold her and pray she doesn't suffer when its time for her to leave me. I highly recommend you NOT to trust your fur babies in the hands of this doctor and to be very very proactive in the care of your fur babies

I adopted a cat who was considerably underweight from a local shelter. She was full grown, only weighted 5 lbs. and would not eat. My vet was not able to diagnose what was wrong. The cat’s health was declining. A friend recommended Dr. Ballard. Within minutes Dr. Ballard had a diagnosis and a course of treatment which was a combination of traditional and alternative medicines. The cat's weight doubled in a few months and has held. A few years later the cat developed pancreatitis. Again, the initial course of treatment was a combo of traditional and alternative medicine to get the pancreatitis under control. She is on a daily course of homeopathic and Chinese medicine that keeps it in check. This is important as flare ups cause pain and vomiting and can lead to death. Alternative medicine is not something I use personally or have any penchant for, but it's kept my cat alive and reasonably healthy. She's happy, playful and loves the medicine. Dr. Ballard has made a big difference in the longevity and quality of my cat’s life. Dr. B really cares about the animals, is compassionate, free with advise, takes her time to get to know your pet and you. She's a wiz at cleaning cats' teeth. Give her a try.
