I first started taking my pup to the Rathdrum clinic and I had to fight her even as a puppy to get her in the door. They didn't seem to know much about Shiba's, so I started looking for a more qualified vet when I came across Dr. Tracy Ridgeway. So, how do you describe the best vet in the Northwest. My Emma, who is a Shiba Inu has never liked going to the vet until I took her to Tracy. Now, when I tell her we are going to see Tracy, she patiently waits for me to put her leash on and waits by the front door to go. Tracy has the biggest heart, and she absolutely adores all the animals she cares for, and my 2 Shiba's know it. I would never consider taking my 2 Shiba's anywhere else. Dr. Tracy is the future happening right now for your pet and care that is safe and at the gold standard. Not only does she make you feel like she has all the time in the world to give, she educates on better options for feeding fresh foods. She returns calls promptly and really listens as well. I cannot say enough and feel so fortunate to have her in our area!

With her help, we saved a kitten my sister found freezing under a bush. Her expert care and knowledge took him through several months of helping him back to life. All my animals (6 cats and 2 dogs) are under her care. I highly recommend her.

I have never been so pleased with a vet. I felt like my animals were treated as they should be. The atmosphere is one of love and respect for the animals and you can sense it as you walk in. This vet helped both me and my animals through some difficult times. Even though I am 1200 miles away now, I sometimes want to jump in the car and take my dog to see Dr. Ridgeway because I feel that she REALLY cares.

Although I have never had much to complain about I know that they always adhere to the customer is always right policy here. They take every complaint very seriously and strive to ensure that clients leave satisfied with their visit each and every time. I love how attentive they are here. Even when notified that they have a personal phone call, they always wait to take it later. Their full attention is always on me and it makes me feel special. They are completely committed to helping me as long as it takes to find the best solution. I never have to worry that they'll back out or give up if a solution isn't reached immediately, which has been a problem for me at other places. It was unbelievable how gentle this vet was with my pet and it really helped my pet feel at ease. It's very apparent that they truly care about us and our pets and that this is not a job for them, but their passion and purpose. They go out of their way to make everyone feel equally respected and cared for. I've seen client favoritism at some of the other places I've been, and I really appreciate the extra effort they make to avoid that here.
