Dr. Darch has been my vet for the last 20 years. After several bad experiences with Bowman Animal Hospital, a friend recommended NWAH to me. That was the last referral I ever acted on.
Dr. Darch has never been anything less than straight forward with me. His no nonsense approach to the care of my animals is greatly appreciated.
We have four Newfoundland dogs. Giant breed dogs require a lot of health care and Dr. Darch has giant breed experience. He s the only one who sees the Newfs and no matter how busy he is during the day if I come in with one of them (or all) he makes himself readily available.
I don t take well to a vet practice who wants to suggest unnecessary care and this does not happen here with Dr. Darch. My Newfs are happy and healthy and I credit Dr. Darch with helping me to keep them that way.
He is always available when needed and can be counted on to return my call within minutes if it s after hours.
Years ago I had a rescue that I picked up. I was about 45 minutes away on a Saturday when he closes at noon and it was 11:30. I called him anyway because the rescue had a shaky vaccination history. He told me to give him time to go home and grab lunch and he would meet me back at the office so we could check out the new arrival and make sure she was ok to be around my other dogs.
There s not many vets that would do that for you, that s for sure.
If you think spending tons of money makes a vet a good one then go elsewhere. You won t find Dr. Darch charging you for things you don t need.
He s got over 30 years of experience as a vet and he keeps himself current with respect to animal care. He has a no nonsense approach when engaged in conversation with me about my dogs and I love that about him.
He s always been willing to discuss things with me that I don t understand.
As for the staff they re all very nice and accommodating when needed.
I ve never had a cattle call experience at this practice. It s implied when I come in that no one but DrD sees the Newfs. If I have to wait a few minutes for that, I m ok. This is a walk in vet practice and I ve never waited more than a few minutes, ever. The same can t be said for any other vet I ve been to.
My animals will never be seen by another practice again.
My only worry about NWAH is that one day DrD is going to retire :-). When that time comes I ll transition the Newfs to Dr. Emily Darch who is there working with her Dad.

Dr. Darch has been our Vet for the last 12 years. We were very happy when Dr. Emily came on board to continue the tradition! They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future.

Not at all, they are always so organized here with making sure the vet is never too overwhelmed to ensure the best service

I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time. Thanks to their exceptional level of care that they always offer here my pets have enjoyed healthy and long lives. My pets have never been misdiagnosed and I strongly recommend them to anyone who loves their pets. They have some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Putting their customers first is definitely a priority here and it shows. I couldn't believe how knowledgeable and well-informed the staff was. They were able to answer all my questions, except the ones they needed to have their boss's input on. It was great to be able to talk to such a skilled staff.
