I would recommend Kindred. In all honesty, the food at Kindred is by far the best of all the hospitals I have had the pleasure of residing in.
Physical therapy was challenging and do not punch past your limits.

I thought the nurses and staff were great. Support staff was excellent. The staff was always asking me what do you need? Can I help you with anything? My daily physical therapy workout was very beneficial. The food was excellent and I always received snacks. My room was private, and kept exceptionally clean. The complimentary hospital WiFi was a wonderful perk.
My experience was a good one at Kindred Hospital Pittsburgh.

I would recommend Kindred Hospital Pittsburgh because the entire nursing staff is attentive and compassionate. My room is adequate ,
private, clean and spacious.
It has a private bathroom and shower, such a plus in a hospital setting.
Kindred permitted my personal beautician to visit , wash , set and style my hair. I have never had that happen at any other hospital. I do enjoy the food, especially the vegetable soup. Special thanks to my night shift nurse Cheryl, a dear, really sweet and warm person. I attend physical therapy every morning, the equipment and exercises are very interesting, I never get bored . Kindred Hospital Pittsburgh deserves 5 stars. Faith

My nurses were wonderful, ALL of the nurses. The food is good, my room was clean and housekeepers were pleasant. In a heartbeat I would return to Kindred if I need future care. Thank you. BM

I arrived at Kindred Hospital from an intensive seven hour surgery and some three week hospital stay. I was transferred to Kindred for additional healing. From the entrance of the building you was welcomed by friendly staff. Everyone is there to see you through. I personally like the location in a so to say country setting. It lifts my spirits knowing there is the therapy and out door accessibility . Again everyone here has been very professional and would recommend it to anyone

The Entire staff at Kindred Hospital Pittsburgh take their job personally. Their patients are treated and cared for as an extended familly member. I would like to personally thank all the nurses who took care of my mom. The aids were wonderful too. I would recommend Kindred Pittsburgh to anyone needing compassionate , professional hospital care.

I came to Kindred in in bad shape, flat on my back. I depended on a
ventilator to breathe, feeding tube to eat and totally immobile due to previous open heart surgery.
Thanks to all the great care from my nurses and therapists, I was soon
breathing on my own without the assistance of a ventilator .My speech
therapist assisted me in regaining the ability to eat solid food again.My
meals were good, especially the pork and mashed potatoes. I started
attending physical therapy in the gym every morning to increase my
strength. The therapists helped me walk again and even climb
steps. My room was private and quiet, the housekeepers did a
great job. The hospital campus is well groomed and beautifully
landscaped. Today is August 20, I will be discharged today. I
can proudly say that I will WALK out of the hospital today to
complete my journey of recovery. Thanks to all the nurses and
nice hospital staff, my stay at Kindred was a good one.

I reccommend Kindered Hospital Pittsburgh for wound care. Five stars to every department. The nurses were all fantastic. My wound care doctor and nurse provided with with up to date wound care treatments. My meals were served on time and the dietary department was very accommodating to my needs. I received care on two different floors of the hospital, both of which were clean and quiet. I had a private room on
each of the floors I was a patient on. I am being discharged today and I am pleases to say that I am truly satisfied with my care and stay at Kindred Hospital Pittsburgh.

The first thing you notice, and you can't miss it, is how very friendly the staff is. Everyone is always smiling. Always asking how you are doing. Always asking if there is something they can don't help you get better.

The therapy staff, Anthony, Sandy, Kristen (COTA), et al. are the best. They push you beyond what you think you are capable. They are firm and fair but not pushy. They will definitely shorten your stay and leave you in a better place physically. Therapy was always the highlight of my day.

The thing Imwill take away from my time at Kindred Hospital was how much the front line staff invested themselves into my recovery. They did it with an unfailing positive attitude and actions.nthey were great to me and I won't forget it. Thank you.

I came to Kindred Hospital from Washington Hospital on a ventilator, unresponsive and on a feeding tube. My stay at Kindred Hospital was approximately two and one half months. Thanks to the professional care at Kindred I began responding , my respiratory issues were controlled and I was stable enough to be transferred to a nursing rehab unit to continue my recovery. My husband I both recommend Kindred for ventilator patients. Today is July 17th, I just returned to Kindred Pittsburgh to visit the unit and personally thank the entire nursing staff for all their wonderful care. I am a success thanks to Kindred. Donna
