My stay here so far has been very positive. I continue to improve each day. I absolutely love going to physical therapy --- it makes me very happy. Sandy and Anthony are outstanding. One of my aides, Nancy, is wonderful. So caring and thorough. My nurses Billie, Maa, Leah and Nicole are fantastic. There are a few more that I cannot remember their names, but so many kind a good nurses. Cory from wound care is also so good. He has such a nice demeanor and is so caring. Speech therapy is also wonderful with me. My room is always kept clean. I am happy to be here closer to my family and getting great care!

Kindred hospital has been wonderful in helping my husband recover from major medical issues. There were days that we were discourages, but as I visited everyday I realized he was getting phenomenal care. His team of doctors collaborated and treated any obstacle Robert faced. The nurses, especially Leigh and Julie took incredible care of him. They treated him like family. We are both so thankful to everyone at Kindred, it was a team effort. Though Robert still has further rehab, I look forward to him being home soon, enjoying our dog, Vinnie and the deck over looking our beautiful pond. The Spillers

Many thanks to Kindred hospital pittsburgh, when I came here I could barely walk. Now I'm walking without assistance at a brisk pace. The Physical Therapy gang ( Sandy and Anthony) really encouraged me to work harder and smarter. The nursing staff and aides have endured my jokes and sense of humor. They are caring and pleasant and always brighten my day. I've enjoyed Nina and Mary from housekeeping, my room is always impeccable. They have taken the time to get to know me and I appreciate not feeling like an anonymous patient. There are too many people to name for my appreciation, I feel like I'm part of a family and they have made a difficult time easier. Thank you, Jerry

My husband Joe came to Kindred Hospital Pittsburgh after being at AGH for over 3 weeks. He had extensive heart surgery in addition multiple medical conditions that caused him to be very weak and debilitated. The team at Kindred put a plan together and kept him focused on the positives, though his tolerance for activity was low. The Nurses and Physical Therapy depts. treated him with incredible kindness and respect, while the Doctors explained his progress and treatment plans. They always kept me informed of his progress. My husband was nicknamed "The Miracle Man" by Dr. Ladani, because of the persistence and encouragement from the entire staff Joe was weaned from his feeding tube and trache.
Today 1yr later Joe and I are enjoying a full life at home. We are so grateful to everyone at Kindred Pittsburgh and giving us a second chance to enjoy our life together.

This “hospital” appears a little substandard in comparison to an Allegheny Health network hospital but tolerable. Unfortunately, it is a cesspool for transmission of elderly commutable infections. My siblings and I noticed that the staff in the ICU appeared a little lax in proper preparation such as hand washing when entering the ICU room. Upon transferring my father from here to another step down facility it was soon discovered within a day he acquired a MRSA pneumonia that almost killed him. In addition, he was found to be dehydrated and barely responsive due to the infections they spread to him.

When I arrived at Kindred the first person I met was my favorite nurse, Missy. She was with me for the first four days and took good care of me and informed me of my care plan. She was the person I sought out anytime there were changes and I needed reassurance. Dr. Narayanan who was in charge of my surgeries and Dr. She try my admitting physician, we're both attentive. Though we had a rough start, Cory Jones, wound care, was magnificent. I called him "The Wound Wizard". You spend most of your day with nurses aides and I had several that were beyond wonderful. Megan, Audrey, Mikkala, Billie, Nancy and Kirstie took care of my needs and wants promptly and happily. Kirstie even surprised me with a Popsicle without me asking. They took caring to the highest level. Everyone was so kind including Kelly the infection prevention nurse who allowed my dog to come visit. I would recommend this hospital to anyone who needs this type of facility. It's super clean and the food is generally good.

Since being admitted I have received superior care. Everyone is very helpful and takes the extra step to ensure your comfort. While my room initially was very cold, the staff worked until they made sure I was satisfied. Courteous and friendly, they have done an exceptional job of getting me going with my being able to breath on my own, feed myself and hopefully soon be mobile.

I had a good experience at Kindred Hospital Pittsburgh. My 5th floor nurses , therapists, nursing assistants, everybody was wonderful. They treated me like I was more of a friend than a patient! Friendly , compassionate hospital staff. I was very satisfied with my wound care. My wound care doctor and nurse made my wound care top priority. My private room was kept clean, the housekeeping staff was so friendly, we would tease each other and joke on a daily basis, I enjoyed their company. All of my meals were served on time and were nutritious and good. If I wanted something special, all I had to do was ask. I would highly recommend Kindred Hospital Pittsburgh for wound care.
