The care my dad received at Kindred St. Louis South was excellent. We were super happy. The staff communicated well and often with us and they were always receptive to our questions and input. Even Dr. Rudoi discussed our concerns with understanding that my wife is a physician assistant and needs more information and has more questions than most family members of patients. There was a delay in his discharge due to insurance authorization. Frankly, we were happy that he would be staying at Kindred a few days longer because of the super care he was getting there. We really appreciate all the compassion and encouragement everyone gave our dad. I would absolutely recommend this hospital.

I very much appreciate everyone for all their care and concern. Everyone was well-trained and and professional. I came a LONG way while I was here, thanks to the excellent care and encouragement from the staff. Thank you especially to Rehab for being so committed to helping me get stronger. Fighting Covid has been so hard but Kindred really helped me be successful. I am FINALLY ready to go on to acute rehab!!!

Our family has come to trust Kindred South to give our mother the very best care. We were so nervous to have her leave Barnes and come here, just because it was a change, it was the unknown. But from the beginning, we could easily tell that everyone that works here truly cares about the patients AND the families. People are friendly and compassionate. Now we don’t want her to leave HERE and go to her next level of care because we love her being here! Yes we are protective of our mother. So it is a huge compliment to Kindred that we appreciate EVERYTHING they have done for our mother.

The nurses here at Kindred have been so amazing. Watching them work, I have a new respect for nurses and how hard they work. In the three weeks I’ve been here, I feel like I’ve made friends with the staff, nurses and rehab and leadership. I have received excellent wound care, helping my wound heal enough to finally go home!! There are so many individuals who have been such important members of my great experience here. I want to mention the nurses Kim and Amy at night, and during the day, Robyn, Theresa, Rhonda, Jeanna, and Ashley. In the Rehab department, Connie and Nena really helped me, sometimes pushing me when I needed to be pushed. Everyone here cares about ALL of the patients. I was walking down the hallway with Connie and she told people we passed that it was my birthday. Pretty soon, people gathered down the hallway and began singing to me, Happy Birthday. It made me cry and it meant so much. Thank you, Kindred, for everything!

I want to thank everyone so much. You all have been so wonderful to me. Trisha always checking on me or waving in the hallway, Jessica’s friendly face. And you have been so good to my daughters, too. We can’t thank you enough. Yes, this is a very good place and I would recommend it to anyone.

The staff have provided me with excellent care. I especially want to thank Tasha, Pam, and Helene. Tasha’s friendliness helped me so much. Everyone tells me how far I’ve come while I’ve been here at Kindred South but I don’t remember how I was. I do know I’m finally feeling like myself again. I know this was really scary for my husband. Trisha, the Patient Advocate helped him a lot, and checked on me pretty much every day. She has been so kind to both of us. I definitely would recommend this hospital.

This is the best hospital I’ve ever been in. I’ve had to battle my way back from Covid and Kindred Hospital St. Louis South absolutely helped me do that. I was a wreck when I got here, barely able to move, I was so weak. I was on a lot of oxygen. Somehow they were able to get me up and moving and down enough on my oxygen that I am now able to go home! There is no way to thank them enough. They all treated me so well. God Bless you all at Kindred.

This place was wonderful and gave me fantastic care! All of the staff were so friendly and answered all my questions. They were so great to my wife, too. I was not there very long, a couple weeks maybe. And in that time, I felt like I was treated like family. They truly care about their patients there. On the day I left, as I was wheeled around the corner to the elevator, there were all the staff, clapping and congratulating me! The case manager, Nancy, had gone above and beyond to get my discharge papers signed by the doctor, even going across the street to the other hospital to bring the papers to him! She and the Patient Advocate wheeled me to my car and waved as I drove away. What a great way to end my stay and Kindred and send me home with warm feelings.

The nursing staff is outstanding. There are too many different ones to be able to remember certain names to thank. The Dietician and the Supervisor were very caring and informative. The girls that delivered meals was always friendly. The cleaning lady was friendly and a very hard worker. I actually came to love the Boost they gave me! Thank you to everyone at Kindred South for helping me in my road to recovery.

The nurses and techs were nice and caring. They would listen to you and meet your needs. All the nurses were very pleasant to talk to and helped you out. I must say that the nurses and staff run the hospital, but it is the techs that help in caring and meeting your overall needs. The techs help you feel more comfortable and relaxed in the way they help you. I think the mentality of the nurses and techs is that since they can go home at the end of the day and the patients can’t, they want you to know they are here to care for the patients. I think this attitude of caring starts at the top, here, and trickles down to everyone. I’d like to thank Helene, she has been a ray of sunshine. Dee was a blessing to me, I thank her. I really liked the tech Lucas, he is good and wants to help the patients. But Dena stands out the most to me. She brings joy to the floor and I had a good time laughing when she was my tech. And last but not least, Trisha really helped me when my mother passed away while I was here. Thank you to everyone.
